Party in the hills!!

Well our "local" support group, "Blue Ridge Society" is having a meeting Saturday, Feb. 26. Any of you girls who can make a last minute getaway are certainly welcomed to attend. I have offered my home for the meeting. My wife will be out of town - not that it makes any difference, but I think the girls will be more comfortable here than at a motel. It has not been confirmed yet that they will come to my house. I am waiting on a reply from our "president." The last meeting we had a couple of girls from Richmond and one from Northern Virginia (Beauty, you are more than welcome to come down and you too Donna!!) and anyone else.
Seriously if you would like to come it will last a few hours and if it is here at my home we will have something to eat - not sure what (perhaps a platter of SubWay sandwiches or Pizza who knows) If it remains at the motel we usually go out to eat after the meeting or I have offered to have them come here for dessert and coffee. I will keep you posted and hopefully have the final details ASAP! I can sleep two or three if someone wants to stay over, but its first come first served.
I will keep you posted - it may all fall through but hopefully not!

Thanks for the invite Virginia, and I wish I could come down. However, My wife and I will be in Hampton VA this weekend for a quilt show my wife's club is participating in. Going down Friday and back Sunday.

I hinted to her that maybe Donna could be there too, but she hasn't OKed that yet. Got my doubts.

Have a good meeting/outing Virginia! One of these days we'll manage to get together.

Well it is looking good! It appears that we will be having our meeting here at my home! I am so excited, I get to be the "hostess with the mostess." It is going to be so much fun, I will keep you posted as it develops so that some of you may try having a gathering at your home.

Just a quick update! We are definitely having our meeting here, so today I got up, looked at the snow coming down, dressed in a short skirt, cable knit turtle neck sweater, moderate heels and took to cleaning house. Putting out all the items necessary to hopefully make everyone feel comfortable. Our "leader" said she expects 10 -12 girls which is great! She feels we should just order pizza, but I am going to try and do a little better than that, just not sure what. I can not cook for 12 people , but I can put some ready made stuff in the oven and I will have coffee and cookies when they begin arriving and tropical fruit for dessert, just not sure of the main menu yet! I have gotten out "our" good china, like what is my wife saving it for - her next husband

! Wish some of you could make it - at least those who live close, but I understand on such short notice.

WE had only five ladies show up. However we did have four calls at the last minunte to cancel - well, at least they called!!! We still had a good time. On of hte girls was there on a referral from their counselor. First, she/he (dressed en drab) did show up. We talked with her extensively and I think that we may get other referrals in the future. All in all it was a good time. We are planning on going to Williamsburg for a Rho Tau (Tri-Ess) chapter Fashion Show in March. Then tentatively we set our April meeting at the lake to plan our summer get to gethers - but this girl will not be wearing a bikini.
