new wardrobe

I decided that my clothes needed a nicer place to stay so I built a new wardrobe-literally. A fun carpentry project. Actually it is two rather old looking pine footlocker type things that I built last week. Nice antique black hardware, cute little padlocks, and some lift out trays. Since I am not out it is convenient that they blend in seamlessly with the office furniture and you would not even think to open them. Now my clothes are neatly folded and organized with separate little compartments in the trays for bras, panties and so on with a big place underneath for skirts and dresses. Tops and nightgowns and those only wear once in a while outfits go in the other footlocker. Probably need to rethink the organization a bit. But it was fun to build and nice for the clothes to have a proper home. Even nicer might have been a secret panel with closet behind but oh well.

Watch-now that I have built this I will probably wind up coming out and just hang everything in my regular closet.................

I am pleased enough with them that I am thinking of building a couple more of them for the kids to use when they go to camp this summer

Isn't it so nice to have a place for your wardrobe? I have several skirt hangers that you can hang up to six skirts and to have the reds together and the blacks and the grays and the prints makes selecting what to wear a real headache

I also have the same thing for my blouses and being able to hang your slips and gowns it is just nice!! I can forsee expansion of your wardrobe in the future!

I also plan to get a wardrobe for my female clothings. This will be a much better place to store all those items than those numerous suitcases and boxes. Beside that also my wife can look through them, even she might tend to borrow items from there - I wouldn't mind.

My wife moved her things into a closet in another room (was our daughter's), as it was bigger than hers. So I moved my fem things to her vacated closet. Much nicer that the plastic bags they used to be in.
