After meeting with doctors and much thinking, my wife and I are scheduled for breast implants on April 29. We discussed it more and talked it over with family and co-workers and decided it was the right thing for me to do. I thank everyone for their comments and your understanding.

I do hope you and your wife enjoy them. I also hope that the recent statistics stating that most implants fail in 10 years is incorrect.

I know my wife and I will enjoy them. It is something I have wanted for over 2 years. We mentioned it to the doctor about implants failing after a time--decided to go ahead. Thanks for your support.

I am thinking of around 450cc for each implant. This the doctor feels will give me the size and look I want. My bra size should be a D cup after the implants settle.

Sounds like they'll be a bit heavy. That can put a strain on your back. I'd suggest some good back strengthening exercises in the meantime.

The doctor told me that each implant would weight about 13 oz. , 26 oz. total. It will be different but my breast forms weight close to that now. I will get use to the change.

Everything is still on for the breast implants for my wife and I on Friday. I'm real excited and nervous at the same time. I have heard it is painful for a while after the surgery, but I know it will be less in time. I am taking off work for two weeks to rest and get felling normal again. My wife's sister is going with us so she can drive us home after the surgery. She will then stay a few days with us to help out at home. I will be happy when I can wear a regular bra, knowing that it is not forms that are in it.

Hope it went well David. And if you changed your mind at the last minute that is fine also. Let us know when you are up and about.

Everything went well. My wife and I got home about 5p.m. last night. Her sister is staying with us. We both are in a little bit of pain, not too bad though. My breasts are wrapped in a type of ace bandage to keep them from moving much. It will be several days before I am up and doing much. I'll keep you posted.

Hi,

Congrats on arriving back home safe and sound. I'm glad someone will be there for you and your wife.

Are you planning on dressing as a woman after this is done or wearing drabbe clothing? The reason I ask is because I'll be very interested to see what happens in your day to day life if you're going to continue to live your day to day life en drabbe.

Thanks for chronicling these events here. You're the first TG'd person I know or have heard about this from first hand. So I really appreciate you taking the time to come here and post about this event.

Again, I'm happy both you and your wife are safe.

I go to the doctor tomorrow to have the bandage taken off. I'm not so sore as I was a couple of days before. Everything seems to be going OK. I think the doctor will have me start wearing a bra at times but not all the time as the implants need to drop. I might be off work until next week--I'll have to see after tomorrow.
