What design are your personal checks?

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

What design are your personal checks?

Post by Jadeanne »

Hi all,

When I was paying bills earlier today, it was time to open the newest package mailed to me, and I saw the advertising for various designs different than the plain gray ones I've used for years. The newest designs listed in the flyer were Care Bears, Spongebob Squarepants, I Love Lucy, Barnyard Babies, and Pampered Girls. Another choice was Anne Geddes.

The plain gray ones are fine with me, with no cost for printing them, but that's just me. I have to write the checks and my wife doesn't mind the no extra cost gray ones, but what designs do you other forum members have?

Hi Jadeanne,

I have normal checks too. :) My wife's checks don't have any special patterns, but I think my mom's does?

Mine are plain, and my wife's have no special design, just a different look to the paper (stationary).

Kitties!

But like so many others, we now only need to reorder checks about once every three years. On-line bill paying and cash machines have nearly made paper checks obsolete. I remember (mumble-mumble) years ago, when I was a newlywed, we wrote checks for *everything*. Every month we got back a fistful of canceled US$5 checks from the liquor store or the supermarket, and faithfully filed them away for what reason we knew not.
Hugs to all,

Hi girls,

I don't write a whole lot of checks anymore either, but I have been using custom checks for well over ten years. I have been using the ones I have now for about 3 years. They are Spongebob Square Pants. I get a lot of comments about them, and that is the reason I use them, to make others notice.

Love always.

Like some of the other girls here I never use checks anymore (I don't think I would ever pay my bills on time if I did :P ). I mostly use my debit card or make payments online. What I think would be kewl is if they made customizeable debit cards just like the checks. I don't know if other banks already do this, but I'm pretty sure mine doesn't. I would love to have different themes to choose from or at the very least be able to pick my color, the card looks soo drab the way it is now.

Last time I needed new checks, I did want to get a different design and tried to order them online. However, I needed to change my address and the system wouldn't allow me to change the check address online.

So I took my order form to the bank and didn't bother to get a different design.

also, like many of you, I am doing a lot of bill paying online. In fact, I need to write two checks a month, one to my doctor and one for my rent. everything else is payed using the cash card either as debit (for credit card payments) or credit (for all else). Every credit-type payment gets me bonus points.

Mine have changed, and now have a rose motif.

An SA commented the other day about the nice design my wife picked. I set her straight ;)

Well, we have "hers, hers, and ours" accounts, and right now all our checks are of the free/cheap plain-jane variety. However, I need to reorder on 2 of those accounts, and I'm having trouble deciding styles, there are just so many wonderful designs.

Butterflies? TinkerBell? Native American? Mountain Scenes? Patriotic? Flowers? or totally girly with the high-heel shoes? :-k

Too many choices, but definitely no 'plain janes' anymore!

PS: For the record, though, Sam's Club offers "photo checks and labels" for members.

Check?

Post by Steve »

What's that? I pay all bills online thru Credit Card or Bank Withdraw. If I need a check for something big the bank provides it.

This way I get rewards points. I keep zero balance, just move $$$ over at 1st of month.

Bank pays me. About 3-4 hundred a year. Rewards are only $29 for WF for me. Everywhere takes debit and cc.

Checks are so 20th Century.

I believe I read that in the UK they are planning on doing away with checks.

And I've been to some stores where they don't accept checks anymore, so we may be headed in that direction as well.
