Thank you so much David for the personal information and updates.
I just started using herbal supplements to see if they give me any chest growth and/or other benefits.
I've been studying everything I can about hormones and men's bodies and I'm keeping careful track of things.
Having discussed the issue of body changes in this vein with my wife, I know she is not ready for me to make any permanent changes.
IF, the herbal plan works (I've read everything I can find and I know some folks say it's a waste of money and time), then I'm planning on using this as a temporary measure to see how I would feel with something more permanent.
I can see that some folks view BA and even SRS as much more than just crossdressing.
I agree that it is, except that when I envision myself changing certain parts of my body to more female arrangements I don't see myself as becoming a woman.
It would be nice to be accepted no matter what our bodies look like.
My dream would be that I could have whatever changes I want, but still be Allen whether in drab or drag.
Inside I would still be the same man I am today.
It's kinda weird for me to express.
I just don't distinguish between Allen with my current 'man' chest, and Allen with 'man' breasts. I don't see them as women's breasts because I'm not wanting to change myself completely into a woman.
Same thing if I had other parts of my body changed, unless it was my face so I would look different than I do now and I'm not interested in not being Allen anymore.
Anyway, I feel I kinda stepped all over your post.
SORRY!
I truly hope things are working out really well for you David...and your wife also!
I'm hoping this won't sound like I work for the National Enquirer or something, but I am really interested in any updates and descriptions you feel like offering.
I actually haven't given implants a serious thought, but it's just one more option to mull over.

Thanks Genifer
I picked herbal supplements because if they really do work for me then I am expecting to be able to keep track of the effects and withdraw from the program when I feel it's too much.
I'm keeping track of my chest size, body chemistry and my emotional/mental state.
So far so good!
I'm only on my second week.
I have a background in medicine and although I'm not an Endocrinologist by any stretch of the imagination, I feel pretty comfortable that I can keep track of what is happening to my body and stop before any possible 'harm' is done.
I hope we get some more updates as life progresses for David.
I just realized tonight that David is one of the few (I'm not sure how many of us there are) members who sports a 'boys' name.
Interesting!

I'm glad it's going well David. Having recently had other surgery I am sympathetic to the post op blues....
Allen I thought your post was very interesting about wanting to look like a woman but remaining a man, if that was what you were saying

Everything is going great. Since I had worn breast forms to work everyday, having breast implants did not seem to cause anyone to notice. I did answer questions for some, but nothing negative. Having them 24/7 is a wonderful thing for me. I am used to them and have not had any problems. It is great to take off your bra and still have large breasts. I am a 44D which my wife says is a good size for me.
I will post again if anyone is interested.

yes please continue to post. The way I see it the physical (surgery) is the first thing to be resolved but I am curious about what emotional, spiritual etc changes come eventually. A number of women over the years have commented to me on how lucky men are not to have to wear a bra and I am wondering if you to will sometimes feel this way although I hope you continue to enjoy your change.

Hi All.
David, I am delighted you are happy with your implants. You did find the quickest way to having them, and they are pretty much 100% reversible if you decide it was an error later. Excuse my curiosity, but are you planning any other enhancements?
Allen, you might be interested in a book by Mike Reynolds called "The New Girl", since you are interested in the effects of herbals. Mr. Reynolds is a writer who chose to become a "woman" for several months, to see what it would be like to live and be accepted, as much as possible. He went through a name change and other things, created a work history from his own resume, and tried to get hired. He was unable to get a job in the period of a month (following 911 and the attendent depression that hit the business world) though, so I'm still not real sure of his success, but he did seem to find levels of acceptance. Some of his new acquaintances thought he might be a transsexual doing the RLT
. As part of his preparations, he used about 1000 mg of black cohosh, I think several times a day for a number of months, to soften his skin, and cause a small amount of breast tissue development, and to shift his body weight downward into his hips somewhat. He still had to wear padding and breast forms. His description of a minimal wardrobe (and it's cost for a few months) was illuminating. He also did a period of practice with makeup, behavior, walking, setting, avoiding direct eye contact with guys, selecting outfits, all with the help of his girl friend. All his preparations were interesting. Can't say as much for his conclusions about the source of gender. Anyway, you might read it for the info on the herbals and their effects if nothing else. It is a fast read. (Amazon.com has it, but so does Borders books).
Generally, one of the downside of herbals is that the cost tends to be great, and the effects are very small, even after several years of consistent use. There are also dangers in that the amounts needed can become toxic. He used a Dr.s consultation to determine what he could safely use, as a 30+ years old male in good physical condition. Increasing age is a handicap to safety, apparently.
Just approach it with care, and stay away from anything claiming the addition of powdered glandular components (generally dried and crushed ovaries from cows and other critters) :-& . Despite the hype that accompanies the advertisements, physicians say it just doesn't work as advertised, and can be dangerous as there is no control over the production of the compounds.
Anyway, for what it is worth.
Love, Carolynn

My wife, daughter and I visited my mother and younger sister this weekend for the first time since I had the implants. They were both happy for me. I wore a pair of slacks and a knit tank top so there was no hiding my breast. My sister couldn't believe how good they looked. The pain has almost gone away and I haven't had any trouble. My wife is getting along fine with her implants also. No problems at work either.

I hope eeryone had a great holiday. The pain is gone from my implants and I am doing OK. I haven't had any rude comments yet but I am sure it will happen. My wife and I got together with her family over the weekend. We went to her parents house and had a cookout. No problems--everybody has been so nice to me.
