Post by Paige »

To all,

I just wanted to let you all know how I am doing. I am ok.

I am being real quiet lately and I have discussed this with my therapist and she says that it is ok. (long story left out)

Please know I am still reading the forum and admiring all the so very intelligent posts from everyone. Please understand this folks. You are what makes this forum so much better than the other CD forums out there.

Hugs to all,
Paige

Hi Paige,
You know that we think about you, pray for you and wish you all the best. I know that you know "we" are not in competition with other sites, we are just here to love and suppport each other. That being said their is also an old adage about "the cream rising to the top!" Anyway for me and I can assume you and most of our sisters here, just knowing that we are here for each other if only in loving spirit is so very calming.
Bless you and keep the faith, girl!

Hi Paige,

I'm glad that you are talking to someone about all of this. It's very, very big and I think you're handling in a very wise way.

I do miss seeing you post very much, but I want you to come back when you're ready.

Miss you bunches of bunches, but I'm happy to even see a post saying you're still with us.

Hi all! *^^* Your care and support is a wonderful thing for Paige and I thank you all very, very much! Our therapist is doing a lot of good too - as well as our talks (I would hope).

Paige - you're doing just fine - and I'm seeing glimpes of YOU coming back. Patience, a good ear, and loving support are all I can give - but I'm right here to give it, as needed - as is everyone here.

Sadly it is a corporate mentality these days to reduce staff as much as possible. I am my companies Senior Systems Engineer (oversee 4 sites so I'm busy). One of our CI (continuous improvement) initiatives is to save money by streamlining processes or using less costly materials. Well in IT we can only really defer costs. They don't consider anything we can do a CI project unles sit directly impacts this years budget. Which, by the way, is next to nothing. I am unable to replace equipment that requires it for us to function properly. Back on track now, the only CI savings we can realize is if a body leaves the building.

I hate the harshness and narrowmindedness of my management team.

I really hope all goes well for you and am saddened by your job loss.

Support from my Wife!!

Post by Paige »

I posted in the "What am I thankful for" thread but I want to acknowledge here as well. My wife has been an angel through this whole ordeal. I am slowly working my way out of the doldrums but all the time I have been a real b&%$@ my wife (Yasky (SO)) has been dealing with it as well.

She has been supportive, listening when I wanted to talk (not very often) and hasn't pressured me to talk about it when I didn't want to talk. She has gently encouraged me to do something, anything, just to make sure I didn't get too depressed.

She has been very patient when I expressed my anger (directed at her of course). Why do we do that? I just hate that I (we all) do that. Pick on the one that we know will love us no matter what. If you're reading this honey, I apologise. :sorry: I am not angry with you and I will try and do better.

Thank you my darling for being so supportive and loving me in spite of myself.

My wishes for all of you that read this forum is that you be as fortunate as I am to have such a supporting and loving significant other. Happy anniversary sweetheart! 1kiss

Thank you, Paige.

Patience is not my thing, as you well know. However, I love you - truly love YOU and sometimes we just do what we have to do during extraordinary or difficult situations.

You are worth it all!! *^^*

KEEP YOUR HEAD HIGH

Sorry to hear of your job loss, I had a situation simmilar to yours but I was cleaning out homes for a managment company as an employee and was actually let go as they found out about my CDing. When they called me in and confronted me with their findings, someone had been to a R4ocky show and said it could make the Co. look bad with a CD working for them. I stood up to them and said yes I am a CD and they wouldnt be able to change it, thats when they said they wouldnt have a CD working for them. I stood up, streached like I was waking from sleep and smiled and said THANK YOU. I felt the weight of the world lift off of my shoulder, then I printed up some bussiness cards from pcmanonline and started passing out bussiness cards at trade shows and started my own bussiness cleaning out homes and doing home repairs, Hmmmm, I even get to dress enfem if I want, my cards read, (THE BEST CROSSDRESSING HOUSE REPAIRMAN IN THE WORLD)
Take this time and research your field and see if you might can start your own bussiness, even steal the old employers clients, I under cut my old employers till they went belly up. Its the American way, now I have all their clients plus a few extra I have won through word of mouth.

Hi Van,

That is undoubtedly one of the neatest stories I have ever heard! Good for you and congratulations, you really fixed their narrow-minded wagons!!

So Paige, I agree - go for it. There is always a place out there for a good professional!

Love,

Missy
