Yes, I love being domestic. However, like cooking (and I'm a good cook, too), I enjoy it more when I'm doing it more than just for myself. I like to please and to be of service (and, to my mind, this has nothing to do with being feminine or not; it's just who I am). Marie, my roommate, says she is thrilled at not having to lift a finger to get her supper or morning coffee. I even gave her a pedicure and manicure last week. I just love pampering the women in my life. Regardless of how I'm dressed (truth is, I haven't dressed in a very long time).
Since having moved into our new apartment, about a month ago, I've been doing most of the cooking and I love it (I've become something of a "BBQ Queen"
). Part of me thinks I'd make a good "househusband" even though I don't know how I'd feel about not working outside the home. I love to work. As far as the cleaning goes, well, the place is still a bit of a mess; we're still painting, unpacking boxes, etc. I've lived with Marie before (a couple of years ago) and usually we have a routine where we'll split the cleaning chores every Sunday. I'm looking forward to kick-starting that routine again, once the dust has settled down, so to speak.Love,
