What is the cheapest item you have bought ....

Post by Ms Jane »

I received a Chinese wedding dress today that I bought on Ebay. It fits perfectly with the added bonus of giving the impression of curves. To top that it is beautiful. The cost? ...One penny!! (postage did cost £9.60 from China)By the way it's new. What is the cheapest item you have bought that you adore? not counting postage. Jane.

Hi Jane,
I have had a great deal of success on EBay and various jewelery sites!
I have bought several blouses and some shoes at a very good price on EBay, as well as some nice bras.
using the term "cheap" I have learned very quickly that the cheapest thing that really is cheap is panty hose. It is better to spend a few extra $$'s and get the good stuff!

I found some great buys in Wal-Mart the other day - Vassarette light shaper panties, normally $10, on sale for $3, bought 3 pairs! But they don't have much control so I guess I will have to go shopping again! The self check-out in some Wal-Marts is a nice feature - no questions at all.

There was a JC Penney's going out of business close to us that had lovely prices on closeout but it was such a mob scene. I do like JCP's selection of bras, though.

It would have to be a black underwire bra and a gorgeous super long black slip from those value stores, I think I paid $3 for the bra and $6 for the slip.

The cheapest thing I've bought was a bra for 50 cents from a St Vincent dePaul shop (Like a thrift store), but the best VALUE I've ever got was to buy a new victorian style wedding dress, made in Taiwan, for $50!It was absolutely new, still with the $900 price tag in it. There were several other new gowns there that day, and I figure they must have come from a bankrupt bridal shop. There have never been any more such bargains there.although I've looked often.
Fortune gives many too much, but nobody enough.
