Darla,
That is great, you can learn to "push the envelop" a bit. There is a clear non-glossy nail polish that I wear sometimes and a bit of masacre, very light, and some neutral eye shadow and a slight spritz of perfume, even a neutral lipstick. All these you know you are wearing but no one will usually notice, other than I have had a couple of comments to the fact that "your eyes look so nice!" but only the fact that if properly applied it does make your eyes stand out, but most people can't figure out why!
I do want to add, that a repressed feminine appearance is great, but it is a small aspect of who we are. It is all in how we treat people that we come into contact with. Love, empathy, understanding, and recognizing them as a fellow human being that deserves respect and listening to their story. These are some of the feminine characteristics that we strive to share.
You are doing great, Rock on!

congrats !
my first step was to buy those stick on nails, but I graduated and bought a bottle of sparkly red nail polish. It does add more flare than stick on nails, and looks better too, the clean up takes longer though.
If I had to do it all over again, I would choose a colour with no sparkles, I found the sparkly stuff harder to wipe clean (it kinda gets trapped in the grooves in the finger nail, and makes it more noticable).

painted nails
I kind of remember the 1st time. What a rush! Boy did they look good. I went to a doctor once and had forgotten about the paint job on my toes, not thinking he would need to have me take off my shoes to check out my hips! He and the pretty nurse got over it. The good job that is ,2 coats red and a coat of clear after a lite sanding! They looked good enough to drive to work. In joy, Ellie
Always aim high!
