Hi girls,

I went out again today (took a vacation day) en-femme and like last time, no problems. This time I wore some pink capri pants, a striped-pink top and some sandalls. Once again salewomen were all nice. Also a couple of things happened to me that I would never have predicted.

First, when I was at Marshalls standing in line, another cashier line opened up and the young girl working the cashier said to me: "There's another line open, ma'am, if you want me to ring you up." Whooda thunk it! Someone called me ma'am! :)

Second, when I was walking in the mall, this older lady stopped me. There was a lump in my throat and I got nervous However, she just just remarked that my top was pretty and asked me where I bought it at. I told her (in as low and feminine a voice that I could muster) that I bought it last year at Torrid.

I guess at the very least people are seeing that am am comfortable as Steffie (even if I don't pass) and treat me like a lady. A few weeks ago I would have thought that I was the last person this could happen to. :) Anyway that's the shortened version of my adventures today. I got some great bargains, today, by the way. :) Take care.

Hi Steffie,

That's so cool! :) Two outings, two successful interactions this time. :) I really can't tell you how hearing stories like this help me, "Queen of Afraid to walk in the public alone" to start realizing it's not that bad.

I'm really so very happy for you!!! I'm also really proud of you too! =D> Thanks for sharing your outing with us! :)

Hi all,

Bravo, Steffie, bravo! =D> I also find it awesome that you're losing your fear of going out. I think it's great that you're experiencing good stuff while out; it'll help you balance out your feelings if and when a negative event occurs. Keep on being who you are!

Love,
CJ

Sounds like you had a great day Steffie. Must be fun to go out en femme and be complimented/noticed. I can only imagine what it was like. Still trying to get my SO to be comfortable with me at home, . Besides,I don't think I have what it takes to pass anyway. Those of you that have some female looks probably have it easier when going out.
