The new job

Guy in NYC (no Lorna, you don't know him) anyway he tells the taxi driver where he wants to go - off they go - the passenger thinks the driver is perhaps heading the wrong direction, so he reaches up and taps the driver on the shoulder to get his attention.
The driver jumps in his seat!!! Swerves across three lanes of traffic, runs up on the sidewalk back in the street and back across six lanes of traffic before coming to a squeeling stop infront of an outdoor restaurant.
the very shocked and scared passenger says , "hey man are you all right, you nearly scared me to death?!"
The taxi driver apologizes profusely!!! "Sorry, Sorry, it is my first day on the job as a taxi driver!!!"
