Streach it just a bit!

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Streach it just a bit!

Post by Virginia »

Channel surfing this morning through the news shows and caught the last part on NBC's Good morning! This Dr. (not Phil) but somethiong like that who is on a few shows a lot and another lady were discussing with Katie and Matt and the weatherman that "men have Crushes - on other men!" He said most men repress it and refuse to discuss it but do look at other men and say to themselves, " I wish I had his hair, or his flat stomach, or his big arms or his eyes" or whatever and Matt actually admitted that yes he had a "crush" on one of the camera guy's. He said it jokingly, but you could tell he was serious - not sexually, but some aspect of his physical appearance. The good doctor said that ALL men have this ingrained in them but each handles it in there own way! Well ---------DUH!!!!!! So why can't a man have "designs" on a woman that way??? well ----------DUH!!!
Does the word crossdresser ring a bell?????? OTOH, I will admit to looking as some guys and thinking that if I had their hands (small, dainty) it would sure improve Virginia's look, or their lips (uh sorry CJ but you are the top of my list!), or small waist, etc.
The good news is that even vailed as it was our "gift" is being more and more recognized as actually existing amoung those of us willing to recognize it, nuture it and share it!

Did they really use the word "crush"? Admire I can understand, but not crush.

Definitely there have been men who I admired, wished I could be more like, and wanted very much to be friends with. There was no sexual attraction but I felt that warm feeling you get when you are with a good friend, before we got to be good friends. Sounds like a crush to me. Old news

Hi Donna, And yes the word "crush" was the operative word. They were even nervously laughingly discussing what word they could substitute in place of crush as it has "sexual conotations." Perky Katie Couric even buried her face in her hands when Matt admitted to "having a crush" on that particular camera man. They showed him trying to get on stage to Matt then Matt said to him, "We'll talk." and every one laughed!
We are getting there. slowly but surely!
