I would dress more often if?

Post by Elizabeth »

Hi girls,

This is intended to be an anonymous poll. No one needs to add to the thread unless they just feel like it. I am trying to get an idea of just how much repression our membership is feeling, if any.

Love always,
Elizabeth

For me, its one missing: If my SO let me.

I already can dress pretty much when I want at home, but if I was able to go out dressed, if my wife let me, then I'd dress more often.

Hi Elizabeth'
I voted on society, I live in a small commuity that is very intolerable anybody that does not conform to thier way of thinking. If they new about me, They would shun me from a lot of social functions. [-X

Society is the mountain; the remaining obstacles are mere foothills.

Interesting...So far 59% percent of us on this site are controlled by society. Rendered powerless :-k

Who is it that gives them that power? Where did they get it from? Are we not part of society? Where is our power?

Most people fall under society's influence to some extent. This doesn't render us powerless, but it does kind of put a damper on things. Society is reasonably accepting of women wearing clothing from the men's rack, and we see this frequently; it isn't very accepting of men wearing clothing from the women's rack, and we see this considerably less often. Maybe this is a post hoc argument on my part, but I'm thinking the relationship is causal. :)

Hey I agree 59% to 37% right here on this site.

Seems to me that society welds the power for the majority. :) We obviously don't influence them the same way. I think the bigger part of the problem lies with us.

I put down if my spouse was accepting. Then I would tell her and do it occaisionally around her. Truth is I don't know how she would feel about it and I'm not willing to take the chance. This is the thing I dislike most about the whole subject. Hiding from society is not nearly as bad as hiding from your spouse.

Ladies. After living in the closet for the last 55 years I just came out to my wife of 25 years and she will be gone at the end of october.(She's been cheating on me for the last 6 years with a married man at work) In the last year my best and only male friend died of a heart attack at 55 on March 8th, my father who I worked with for the last forty years dropped dead 2 days before new years, my printing business stinks and my 13 year old dog ran away. But I'm OK. It's so great to be yourself. My friend gary who died has a wife that accepts me and invited me to a Halloween party on the 29th in Mass. It will be at a bar and all her brothers and sisters will be there.(7 of them) One sister plays in a band who will be providing the music. It will be my coming out party so to speak. I"m nervous already. What will I wear? Something conservative, casual, elegant or just go as the slut that I really am! LOL. If I were born a woman I would of been the biggest whore on the block! I love It! Can't wait for the party. BOY! Will they get a eyeful! Love you ladies.

Hugs
