I thought I would start a post about jokes we heard but forgot and maybe someone can fill it in or maybe you only know half or part of the joke and someone can help with the rest.
Like I was talking with a fellow employ today and we could not figure out the. There once was a man from nantuket (sp?) what is the rest of the joke and why is it so funney?
I don't get it

This is the start of a limerick (a type of poetry actually) consisting of 5 lines and a specific rhyming scheme and meter. such as:There once was a man from nantuket (sp?) what is the rest of the joke and why is it so funney?
The really "good" ones will use a play on words for the last line, often misspelling the final word to fit the rhyme and often involves an obscenity. The "humor" of the "man from Nantucket" I always took to be the ease which it would rhyme with a word which is not allowed on this forum. There once was a man from Nantucket
who kept all his cash in a bucket.
His daughter named Nan,
ran away with a man,
And as for the bucket, Nan took it.
And sorry Donna, that's too many syllables.

What is a limerick, Mother?
It's a form of verse, said brother,
In which lines one and two
Rhyme with five when it's through
And three and four rhyme with each other.
A flea and a fly in a flue
Were imprisoned, so what could they do?
Said the fly, "let us flee!"
"Let us fly!" said the flea.
So they flew through a flaw in the flue.
There was a young woman named Bright
Whose speed was much faster than light.
She set out one day
In a relative way,
And returned on the previous night.

Watch nature, because it’s our greatest teacher, it moves and flows and moves on again. We can never be free until we disengage, so allow life to flow as you find it. The way it is, is the way it is.

A sissy who lived in Kalzume
Took another sissy up to his room
And they argued all night
Over who had the right
To do what, and with which, and to whom.
Were there others, I wondered, like me
Who liked how a skirt set me free
I was lucky when I met
Trannies in the net
Because that is when I became DonnaT
