Most of my heels are 3 or 3 1/2 inches which is very comfortable and easy to walk in. I have a pair of 4" which I like but cann't seem to walk properly in them. More pratice I guess.

Question:
Watching TV seems to me all the women who report the news are wearing 4" heels with spiked heels. wonder if spikes are coming back into style?

Hi all,

When I'm en femme, I usually wear shoes with no higher than a 3" heel. However, I do own shoes I wear for fun, not anywhere outside the house. My favorite pair are my 'drag queen platforms' in size 11. The heels are 7" high and the soles 3" high so the shoes feel like wearing a pair of 4" heels. They have a sandpaper-like pink glitter texture. I bought them for $5 at the Salvation Army.

I know I've posted this photo somewhere else on the forum a long time ago but it's worth a repeat. I have a blast watching my GG friends struggle to walk in these stilts when they try them on.

Love,
CJ

Hey, CJ!

You're so very lucky those shoes are way too big for me because I love those shoes!!

Lately, I have been buying wedge sandals with a 4" - 4.5" heel, and the sole portions are between 0.5" - 1". Previously, all my other heels have been between 2.5" - 3" high, and the only 'flats' I wear (not counting tennis shoes or Keds) are sandals.

Thanks for showing us your Hooker Shoes, CJ!!!

Hi all,

Curly, Silver Lady,

Heh, I wasn't aware there were actually GG's out there who were into these kinds of shoes. :P I have to admit that I never thought of them as "hooker" or "proper pornstar" shoes, though. To me, they were always my "drag queen" shoes.

As some of you know, I'm a veritable shoe fan. Although last year I got rid of half the shoes I owned, I still have just over two dozen pairs of shoes and boots sitting on my shoe racks.

The pink platforms may be cool but, in line with the survey results, most of my shoes have heels that are rarely higher than 3 or 4 inches.

Love,
CJ

I'm sorry to destroy the CD image but,
I really don't wear heels shoes. I mostly wear sneakers and army boot style shoes with little or no heel.

I walk through some nasty areas and I have to be ready to run if the situation gets ugly.

I don't believe I have anything in my closet with a heel smaller than 3" that is in fact one of the things I love more about women fashion. However 5" is my limit as I find it harder to walk on those.

I have asked asked many of my GG friends why it is that women don't like wearing high heels and the response I get is usually the same: "you try walking on them for 8 hours" (if only they only knew ))ok((). I believe most of my shoes have a 4" since I can walk very well on those and I find myself I don't get tired walking on them maybe my opinion will change once I'm able to walk in them for 8 hours straight

I confess I only have 3 pairs of heels and 1 pair of knee high heeled boots. Two pair are 2 1/2 inch heels. The boots and the open toe, sling back heels are 3 inch. I've found that 3 inch is my limit for comfort especially for wearing all day. Usually I wear either flats or sneakers when I'm out shopping or running errands.

I wear 1" to 2" heels or flats. It's self-preservation, and I'm less concerned about breaking a heel than I am about breaking my neck. ^_^

It seems that many prefer high heels. Personally, although I have no difficulty walking in hells, most of my shoes are flat sandals, wedgies, or mary-janes. I especially adore wearing sandals. Just my style. Margaret

I like heels but my shoes vary from 2 to 4 inch heels - I have one 5" pair that I still haven't mastered walking in after a year of trying - guess its time to give up. Strange thing is 4" heels are no problem to me.

The highest heel I've ever owned was 2-1/2 heeled clear slides. I could walk in them just fine but my "fear of heights" keeps me in mostly flats! I actually prefer ballet slippers.
