I was sitting here today, corresponding with one of my sisters here and it hit me! I am a caregiver, something that only Virginia can do! If you had told me 4 - 5 years ago that I could do this, taking care of a 71 year old lady with dementia I'd have told you you needed serious mental help! but here I am and loving it! I have expressed to some of you that what would be an ideal situation is if her husband (who does NOT know I am a cross-dresser) he wonders out loud though how I know how to color coordinate her clothes and put on her make-up and eye shadow and lip stick and make her look so pretty, but he is just glad to have me as she really can't do much of anything on her own anymore and she is a rather "healthy" size! Anyway my ideal situation would be if Virginia could physically be her care giver. What hit me was that today I noticed I had on panties, panty hose, Bill Blass jeans, a gray cashmire turtle neck sweater, some masacre, neutral eye shadow, lip gloss, my toe nails are painted a bright red and my hair is getting longer to the point that it flips up in back now and I was wearing Elizabeth Arden's White Diamonds perfume. Well .........hello Virginia!!!!
Ain't it great!!??
Love you all,
Virginia

Way to go, Virginia!
Virginia is almost always 'hiding in plain sight' - meaning, one just has to be observant enough to realize that you are (and he is) wearing makeup, perfume, and women's clothing. The longer hair, too, is clearly Virginia! However, most people can't see beyond the end of their nose - and while you are in your caregiver role, that is an 'almost' perfect situation.
You rock, girlfriend!!

As you know..i'm also a cargiver..different circumstances, but still. I do think a side of us comes out when we're presented with this situation....we get very protective of our dependent for one thing. I think most males would just shuck this responsibility to others...the fact that somehow we care..says something..not sure what..but wish more would.
You're doing a wonderful thing...somehow that makes you much more of a human to me...thanks for sharing
