Sorry to hear about the cancellation! Sometimes those things can't be helped! I know our local support group kinda fell apart and I will accept part of the responsibility but we tried twice to have meetings and could only get 3- 4 girls to show up - we did get many RSVP's that they had conflicts so we have the interest but what is the use when they can't physically attend meetings - it tough, but I just touch - up my make-up and move on cause Virginia ain't gonna let that stop her from having fun!!!

Awww, Rita. I'm so sorry to hear that, since I'm an ex-NJ gal myself. I was kinda following your meeting thread because of that. I moved just at the advent of the internet and had no idea how to meet others....or even if there was a way. Our group has had low attendance recently also...and I missed the last meeting due to family problems. It's hard to pinpoint a particular reason...but, for one, we do have social and moral obligations that take front stage. It could also be like any group, VFW, American Legion, Girl Scouts...people lose interest after their initial flurry.
But it seems with us down here..if we have an extra event planned...more show up. So..guess these things happen...and I hope all of our groups stay together....i will make an extra effort to attend my next meeting, partially because of what you and Virginia said. Sometimes it does take a bit of commitment and, darn it, theres so many nice girls out there
