I'm unaware of how to use money which is hard for me to get the femme equipment i need and want.
Do you know if there is an Advocacy Service in your area? The town I live in has an Advocacy Service available for people with learning difficulties, I think most areas have one. They help people with learning difficulties express their needs and wishes. They may be able to provide you with some support or put you in touch with people who may be able to help you.
You can contact your local Council or Social Services to find out where your nearest one is.
Let me know how you get on
Love,
Curly.

Hi Janet.. I know how difficult it is to have a learning difficulty as mine was never picked up at school but found about it much later in life and it can be frustrating when we find things so hard to do when other ppl seem to find it so easy to do.
I didnt know or knew of any Advocacy Services in the uk but will be looking online later to see if there are any web sites and if i do find any will add the links.

crossdressing isnt a hobby, its the way of expressing your inner woman.
Hi Janet--
I'm glad that someone knows the lay of the land there. In the U.S., it would be harder to find any social services like what Curley is describing. We have cut back here, and we didn't have that much to begin with. I hope you can find the help you need. Maybe Pauline's websearch will turn up something, too.
I did some searching and found these, I hope they are of some help. There are more on the site but I think these are the most helpful. Let me know which is as I may give them a call myself.

Advocacy is about having your voice heard, saying what you think and being able to make decisions about your own life. Advocacy groups enable people to speak for themselves. You get to speak to someone on a one to one basis and they can help you find the support you need.
Unfortunately, there have been cutbacks in funding these services in England too, but your local Social Services or Mencap will be able to help you find an advocacy group in your area.
