Knitting has resurfaced as a pass time for diverse people ranging including sorority girls, football players, cops, and even librarians.

A few days ago, I was driving down the interstate and noticed a 18 wheeler not being too steady on the road, and at length I got around him. In the mirror, I realize the stupid driver was
knitting while driving, even worse than talking on a cell phone, as his attention was split between driving and knitting.
I was pleased to see a highway patrolman start past him, then he dropped back and turned on his lights and siren. The trucker just kept on truckin' taking no notice of him. The cop pulls alongside, and even I could hear him on his PA yelling at the driver to " Pullover, Pullover".
The trucker finally noticed him, picked up his own mike, and yelled back,
"No! Cardigan"!
