She grew up in Norwell,Mass. and graduated from Berklee College of Music with a bachelor of music in composition. Formed a band at 15 called The Smoking Section and began sitting in with local blues musicians in Boston. Was signed to Tone-cool records in 1998 and released "Just won't burn" in 1998 to rave reviews by blues publications.Toured exstensively throughout the US. Opened for John Mellencamp,BB King,Budy Guy,The Allman Brothers Band,Taj Mahal and Bob Dylan.
Her voice is a blend of Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin.Her guitar playing was influenced by Buddy Guy,Johnny"Guitar" Watson,Stevie Ray Vaughan and Freddie King.
She married Derek Trucks guitar player and nephew of The Allman Brothers drummer Butch trucks. She has won two grammys . One in 2000 and 2003. Who is this this talented woman?

PS. Slow cooking ribs all day on the grill tonight for a dinner at two of my GG's friends. They want little Jeannie all glammed up so I dug out my daughter's blue spagetti strap blue/black sparkly slim fit gown and I'll get a GG's opinion if it makes me look fat!
