NEW YORK - A singer whose songs have topped the Billboard dance chart was attacked by a group yelling anti-gay slurs, and four people were arrested on hate-crime charges, police and his publicist said.

You know Lorna. Things like this will never end.There are still humans walking the earth whose knuckles still scrape on the ground and their still waiting for their thumbs. Sad but true. When will people realize that there is only one race. The human race. We just come in all shades of brown and all types of genders. The only difference is we have our own languages,dress,foods,religions,customs and music. By being a bigot or racist limits your own life by never meeting or sharing all the wonderful cultural differences of all the beautiful people around the world.
It takes no energy to love but takes an enormous amount of negative energy to hate. It will consume you. It only seems to be getting worse. How sad.

It's so easy to be a friend and so hard to be an enemy.

Absolutely, hon. Beautifully said.

This was all over the local news here in NY and was a hot topic of conversation at work today - and everyone agrees that in this day & age, people should just be allowed to be who they are and/or do what they do without senseless occurences such as this.

But the good news is that four of these pathetic lost souls were in fact arrested.

I hope your not offended by this Lorna but I have to speak my mind. What's left of it.

I remember hearing Ted Turner speaking years ago and saying that the so called "White males" make up 5% of the world population.
Somewhere back in world History the people of lighter skin got this idea that lighter skin was superior and had more value than people of darker skin. The people of darker skin were delegated to being servants,slaves eunichs and people of little or no value. They were demonized as were the people of the Jewish faith and many other groups of races and religions. It continues to this day.
I am considered a white man. I'm not. I'm beige! I've never seen a white man. a red man.a yellow man or a black man. Trust me Lorna. I'm a printer. We are only shades of brown!
My Dad who died last year was colorblind. I never heard him say anything bad about blacks,Jews,Irish,Germans or any other race,religion or creed. I don't think I ever heard him swear. If I had ever said the N word he would of killed me. He was great guy. I miss him.
I hope not to offend anyone but my take on Hurricane Katrina might be construed as rascist. I hate to feel this way but the problem with the government not stepping up to the plate was the people affected where the wrong color. They were mostly poor so called "Black people"
If this disaster happened in West Palm Beach,Beverely Hills or Boca Raton you know the government would be right there. Do you think they would be herded into stadiums and treated like cattle? I think not.
Maybe this is a bit too political but I think of our fearless leader George W Bush. He's against affirmative action. How did he get into Yale? If that wasn't affirmative action I don't know what is! He's dumb as a stump! His name was Bush. That's how he got into Yale. I better go before I get banned. Hugs.

PS. I live 25 minutes from the Yale campus. The last time I went to New Haven I visited the George W. Bush shrine in the dorms courtyard. They had his Cliff's notes,cheat sheets and an empty case of Bud longnecks. It was awe inspiring! The man was a drunk until he was forty years old and then he found Jesus.I still have the chills Lorna! All I can think of is Forest Gump saying"I'm not a smart man" He's an embarrassment to this country. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth! He is so stupid it's sickening.But that's just me ladies!
