Movie Theaters???

Have any of you ladies every gone to a movie dressed as the ladies you all are? Please provide details, I am thinking of doing this tonight.

Sure have, Kira. Adds to the whole movie theater experience. Even more than sorround sound!

Advice? Go on a weekday, when the theater is not going to be very full. Avoid "testo" movies (Chases, fights, etc) where is bound to be groups of teenagers. Dress nicely, but really, a formal gown may be a bit overdressed...

Oh yeah... maybe watching a family movie wouldn't be the best idea... a lot better a "chick-flick", right?

Also, depending on how comfortable you may be with your voice, try to see if you can buy and print your ticket from the internet.

But above all that, have fun!!

I have done it many times. It's great. I remember the first time I ever did it, I took my kids and taking tickets was the mom of one of the kids my son played baseball with and in fact had even spent the night at thier house. She sure was surprised to see me.

Anyway, go and enjoy yourself.

I went... it was actually really great. It felt like the movies were a whole new experience. I had a friend help me get ready so I looked really good though, so afterwards just hanging out the guys around were uhm... well it was strange to say the least. Didn't ruin the experience, it was all part of the thrill I guess.

Hope your movie adventure went well!
The stories I can tell: First, I agree that the afternoon matinees are the best and when school is in. You can park as close or as far away as you want (go way to practice your "moves"); at the ticket office it is the only real exchange with anyone you will have and that is usually thorough some type of speaker. I just generally kinda of whisper the name of the movie then you go in. I would recommend NOT drinking anything at or before you go -- if you are the least bit concerned about which restroom to use!
Let me tell you briefly some of my experiences: I was holding my coat standing in the aisle leaving and two ladies still in their seats. I had on a tight mid-calf length gray skirt and an white blouse, holding my coat and she looked me up and down and outloud called me a "slut!" I got taken to the woodshed by about three GG's on this forum for even posting that one!! The movie "Cold Mountain" I was sitting there when these four GG's come in. They must have figured I was the least threatening choice in the theater. They came right down the aisle I was in and one sat right next to me. "Nice perfume!" she said, I just smiled and the film started. This was only my second time out so for the next two plus hours, I had to put into practice every feminine move I thought I could muster. Hand postion, crossing and uncrossing legs, body position. I must have passed as as she was leaving she turned to me and said. "Good movie, huh!?" Again I just nodded and smiled and waited for them to get way ahead of me!
"The Last Samari" night time - Friday! crowded like crazy, in line for ticket, 12 screen multi-plex, by myself! No problem, got my ticket walked to the door where a very cute policeman jumped infront of me to open the door for me! I looked him straight in the eyes, smiled and said quitely, "thank you!" his reply and I will never forget it! He smiled and said, "Anytime, honey!" Pushing through a crowd of teenagers and kids was interesting, but no one said a word, although I did get a couple of "admiring looks!"
Then I went to see "?????? passport to the galaxy" or something like that - the actually dumbest movei I have ever tried to watch, in fact I left after about 10 minutes. The thing, this guy kept turning around and looking at me before the movie started, very unnerving. He got up and changed seats twice and each time would turn and look at me. I knew I would have to walk past him if I left, but I could just not endure that movie. As I walked out past him, all I heard was a "ummm , um!" I thought for a second he was going to follow me and that would have been his big mistake.
Anyway, for my sisters that are considering going out for the first time and interact in public, I would recommend the afternoon movie matinee during a school day! Not crowded, and you have lots of options and opportunities to "practice" your moves!
