Match the musician with a band.

Post by Jeannie »

Hi rocksters. Some of these musicians have been in more than one band but any band will suffice. These are some of my favorite groups.Remember! No Googling! It might be tough though. I'm wearing a very short skirt!

Ansley Dunbar
Peter Wolf
Clevon Little
Felix Pappilardi
Brian May
Angus Young
Felix Cavaliere
Terry Kath
Richie Furay
Donald Fagan
Corky Lang
Peter Green
Robin Trower
Roy Buchanon

Last and not least the late, great ,Lowell George. "Sneaking Sally through the alley" Feets don't fail me now!

PS. Bonus question for you Bostonians out there. The lead singer was named Rhinestone Mudflaps and they played clubs in and around Boston in the seventies. "The ultimate party band of all time" If you know it you will remember 'You got a hole in your love bucket" and that tender love ballad about a lonely guy titled"I got love on my hands!" They really got a bar jumpin'

OK Jeannie, here are the ones I know:

Ansley Dunbar - Mothers of Invention
Peter Wolf - J Geils band
Felix Pappilardi - Mountain
Brian May - Queen
Angus Young - AC/DC
Felix Cavaliere - Young Rascals
Terry Kath - Chicago
Richie Furay - Buffalo Springfield
Donald Fagan - Steely Dan
Corky Lang - Mountain
Peter Green - Fleetwood Mac
Robin Trower - Procol Harem
Lowell George - Little Feat

I'm not 100% sure about Clevon Little, Roy Buchanon

I'll also pass on the Boston group.

I limited myself to naming one group for each so other members can join in the fun.

Hi Jeannie--
I tried for the second band category.

Ansley Dunbar--Journey
Richie Furay--Poco

Corky Lang--West, Bruce & Lang

Roy Buchanon--I don't know that he ever played with anyone. I only know his solo stuff.

This is intriguing, but I'l leave it to a Boston girl.

Anita. I saw him play in the early seventies with his band called The Snake Strecthers. He just stood there on stage with a old Fender amp and very early beat up Telecaster and sounded as if he had an array of pedals. His sound was very unique. Unfortunately he died by his own hands in the 80's.
Maybe the Boston based band is a bit obscure. I'll give you a hint. When on stage they would always say they were waiting for The Duke to show up. They have a live album with Rhinestone Mudflaps the third! They are a real fun band. I think you might enjoy them Anita and maybe cover a couple of their songs. Both the music and lyrics are fun. Gotta run. I have to go check my love bucket to see if I have a hole in it!Hugs

Cleavon Little was a ringer!

I threw in Cleavon Little to throw you off. He was the black actor who played the Sheriff in Blazing Saddles! Me Bad! So sue me!
