Broadway, Cats and other things!

Dear Girls:

We all have ideas about what is and is not. Humans in every creed endeavor to share with others there thoughts, hopes, dreams and personal interests. We are no different here on this forum.

It once again occurred to me to convey this idea among my girlfriends.

The long running play, “Cats,” was and continues to be very successful. But none the less it is a play of human activity. Just as we too participate every day in the play of our lives. We dress each day for a specific role. We work and play in that role as a primary presentation.

At some point, we change our costume to reflect another role and personality type. Still, we are in the play with others that we know and share a life with. The difference is the garments we wear and the sex/gender role that we present.

Disregarding all that we think we know, all that we have come to believe by our exposure to others that had a belief and passed it on to us in formal school or “street school,” none the less, we are still in this play and “all the world is a stage.”

I am not inventing anything new girls. What I am saying is that if you want to dress like a “cat,” go for it! You can go downtown into the public square if you have one where you live and put on a one person play for 5 minutes. What’s the harm? None.!

People may call you eccentric or crazy, depending on your financial wealth, but, you had a good time and did something that few can say they have done. Every time we dress up and put on our makeup, we are getting ready to take part in that great unscripted play called life.

Today, I am for one girl, saying it is okay and I feel good about myself.!

My play, my time, my script, my reasoning. If I can live with and tolerate various criminal activity that continue to play themselves out, I think that others should be in a position to tolerate me as well. A positive role model, a contributor to this great society on many levels I am free to express myself as I see fit.

Hell, I’m going shopping right now!
