What do you call him/her when he is dressed
This may seem a silly or crazy question but how do you address your dh when dressed, by their fem or male name or does it vary? I know I will ask him which he prefers but is curious as to how/who decides.

Well for me I chose the feminine name (Virginia was my mother's name and I took my grandmother's name Irene for my middle name). Those are my feminine names and I prefer --- demand that I be addressed as Virginia - I am Virginia and she is me. A lot of my sisters may not be as adament but Virginia is Virginia is Virginia! Needless to say when I am out and I am asked my name, it is Virginia. If I am home it is no different. If a ?DH? has gone as far as selecting a feminine name than I would have to assume that she would prefer to be addressed by "her name!"
Just one girl's opinion!

I have to agree with Virginia - if your CD took a feminine name, then he should be referred to by 'her' name while dressed - no two ways about it, IMHO!
I always refer to my CD by her femme name while she's dressed, my guy by his name when he's dressed (as it were!). He is he and she is she - even though the voice may be the same.
Don't forget: a person's name is the most important thing they own, and you are showing respect - and a form of honor and dignity - by calling that person by their given, or chosen, name.
That's this SO's thoughts!!

Hello Jess,
I call my femme by Marie, however in conversation with other CD"S and SPOUSES I often say he instead of she.
When taliking about the Chameleons I always say their name, she or ladies.
As SIlverlady said "a persons name is the most important thing they own.
Hugs penni

My wife always calls me by my given name, I doubt I can ever remember her using the name ‘Sally’. She says that no matter what I am or how I present, to her I’m still and always will be the person she fell in love with and married under my given birth name.
My given name does double as either male or female though, and a most commonly used form of my birth name is the brand name of a well known perfume, so she says that it’s applicable for her to use the birth name.
Kind Regards,
Sally.

I always call my guy by either his given name or Sugar, Baby, Honey or some variation thereof. He does use a female name in chat rooms, but I've never been actually introduced to her, so I'm not dead certain what her name is.
He says that he likes it that I always call him by his birth name. Says he likes that I always see the real him inside whatever the outside costuming might be. Works for us.

As above, my SO normally calls me Sweetie, Dear, Honey, etc. When she calls me by my male nickname, I know I am wanted for something important. If she uses my full first name, then it is a situation - she's upset about something.
She has never uses "Lydia." I am not sure if I'd recognize it.

When we're out and I'm dressed, my SO always uses my femme name, along with all the correct pronouns, pretty much all the time, except when she slips up occasionally. No big deal to me at all if that happens as she has known me longer in guy mode. She had a hard time in the beginning trying to remember, (bless her) but does much better now.
Personally speaking, I've always preferred to be called Stephanie and with all the correct feminine pronouns. Each to their own and whatever you're both comfortable with. As mentioned, it doesn't bother me if someone forgets - only when some jerk at a store or drive thru does it deliberately. Then it's

My SO mostly calls me by an abbreviation of my male pre-name and - just by cance - this version is "unisex", even more used for females. Anyway even her daughter (not really knowing about my CDing) uses the same version - often for fun, well my natural long hair (no wigs) often enough implies, that I am a woman - even, when en-drab...
