I just came out to my friends
Hi Gaven,
Congratulations, you’ve removed one of the biggest ‘fences’ we surround ourselves with, and you can now begin to be truly individual and free to be yourself. Overcoming the fear of the unknown is the first step to self expression and feeling free to be able to do so, and often the hardest isn’t it, but once you’ve taken that first step you open the door to individual freedom and proving that it isn’t really just an illusion.
Revealing ourselves is rarely easy, but can be worth the effort, because no matter what fears we face or what hurdles are placed in front of us, in the end the reward is worth more than life itself, as it should have always been, and that reward is freedom, which is everyone’s basic right.
Kind Regards,
Sally.

Watch nature, because it’s our greatest teacher, it moves and flows and moves on again. We can never be free until we disengage, so allow life to flow as you find it. The way it is, is the way it is.

I am sorry about that here is what I posted.
What I am about to admit I must do for my own mental well being. I am posting this on my myspace page and to the Northwinds and St. Katherine's Yahoo groups. To those who get this more than once I am sorry. To some of the people who know me the best you already know this information so you can stop reading, to everybody else this is a hard thing to admit much less post. I am a cross dresser. I know now you all have a bunch of questions. To the first one which is always the first question any cross dresser gets asked when they admit to being a cross dresser is "are you gay"? The answer to that question is most definitely no. I cannot even fathom the idea of me being with a man. Besides that, being a homosexual does not mean you cross dress nor does being a cross dresser mean you are a homosexual. I have been cross-dressing for quite a while I first started cross-dressing seriously in middle school. How ever I have always liked the clothing of girls and women. Like most cross-dressers I noticed girls clothes were different at a very young age. When I think back on it the first time I noticed a difference was when I was about 5 years old. I was playing with a neighbor girl and she was wearing a dress and I thought that it was nice. However I did not discover how good they felt until middle school when I saw my sisters bodysuit hanging in the closet and for what ever reason I had to try it on. I snagged it that night and put it on for a little while and then took it off and hung it back up. As far as I know she did not know. Now for the next question that cross-dressers are always asked, "Do you want a sex change?" GODS NO would be that answer. I like being male and could not see myself living as a woman full time. I am however starting to wear more "women's" clothing. I have decided to phase out men's pants and stopped wearing men's underwear a long time ago. I am sure that some of you have noticed that my blue jeans were not a men's cut. For those who did not notice you need to be more observant. I am admitting this bit of information now because ever since my father died on September 11 of this year it has been on my mind constantly that I have been lying to myself and it has not helped my depression or my ability to stay on track mentally. I have more information on my geocities web page the address for that is http://www.geocities.com/gavenmclrn666

Perhaps we feed off each other...letting it out is good, and it seems like a number of us have have lately, I'm so happy for you, Gaven. And yes..you had the mandatory first question "are you gay". Once we dismiss that and get on with our chats with "whoever", it seems to work out. Best of luck to you lol:

Sorry to be late in replying, but I only just caught up!
Well done!
I have this wanting to reveal nagging at me more and more, and I believe the time will come where I myself will take similar steps.
It does not worry me particularly. I am one of those people who can just get on with it and I really don't mind what people think.
I think that once I have done it I'll be dinner time conversation for a while for some people, and then like everything else, they'll move on to the latest "scandal"
Again, congrats to you!
Ed.
