Hey! What are we wood here in Connecticut!

Post by Jeannie »

Ladies! You gals have stuff going on all over the country. I'm jealous! My last outing was to a chinese restaurant to pick up some food for my kids. I walked in glammed up and they all started to laugh and speak Chinese. I knew they were talking about me. When I payed the bill I said"Fluck you! No Tip!"
Hey Silver Lady! Now that you are the site Administrator ( Big Shot!) why don't you propose an annual event somewhere in the country for a week or weekend that we could all attend. You could put a forum up that everyone could post their suggestions and you could decide what the best course of action would be. You could post costs and see if it were possible to raise the amount of money needed. If some have limited resourses others that are doing well could contribute more. Maybe it's too much to ask but it would be so much fun. I know it would be a tremendous amount of work but I'm sure there are many here that would offer to help in any way they could. Just food for thought. Hugs.

Jeannie

PS. I'm dying to arm wrestle Virginia! Just one warning. I'm a sore loser! I
I'm also sure no one would hesitate sending money to you. You are such a nice person. Just don't let Virginia touch the cash. I know there would be a Harley Sportster in passion pink parked on the other side of the bed!

Kendra says she may come later in the evening, after the dinner.

I reckon she's got to decide which cheerleading outfit is the most formal looking :P

Right Donna!
I would be a very sore loser! Last saturday night I was dog sitting for Marley. A Jack Russel terrier puppy and I arm wrestled him and I lost! To add insult to injury he peed on the kitchen floor and pooped on my bedroom rug! I'll get him on the rematch this saturday night! He thinks he's so tough now! Hugs.

Jeannie

PS. I've been training all week doing curls with my make up bag! It weighs more than me! Even with all that makeup I almost look human. Well thats what Mini always says but what does she know! She has some crazy notion I have issues!Imagine that! What nerve! I have to get going and do my nails before I go back to work. It's secretary friday! My favorite. It's always great when there is a new UPS man! I tell them"I'll sign for my handsome twin brother!"

Hello all,

I just wanted to let you know that space is still available for the TGEA Gala. Payment will be accepted at the door: $65 for members, $75 for non-members. The cost is $25 if you want to arrive after 9:30 p.m. for dessert.

We need to get a final headcount to the hotel ASAP, so if you plan to attend, and haven't paid already, please email me to let me know so that I can add you to our list.

As for the entertainment, we will have folks dressed in Medieval garb who will be entertaining us throughout the evening as they interact with us in character.

There will also be a DJ later in the evening. I'm not sure what sound system they use.

Well, I have washed my hair and I know I have looked at my dress 100 times to make sure it is what I want to wear and the accessories, decisions, decisions! Shoes?? I had a pair picked out that would be perfect, but I could not have stayed on the dance floor very long so I am revisiting that article of clothing. They were black patent leather with a sparkling sliver band across the the toe, very dressy, but 4" heels uh, I wore them around here for a while and decided, NO WAY! If I were just going to sit around and look pretty they would be great, but this gal is gonna dance and politic and dance and socialize and dance and I may even have a drink or 12!!! After a few adult beverages, I get "easy!" but my SO has said that I have to (as we use to say in the early years of NASCAR) "run what ya brung!" Which is just fine with me! I am sure there will be several reports posted later probably the more sober will get to their keyboards first. We are gonna have some fun though!

Okay, ladies - - how about we all get together (SO's, too) on Sunday for brunch or lunch (dutch, of course  ) before we head our separate ways? If someone has Gracie's email address, I'd like to extend the invite to her, also.

I'll see if my wife will be "up" for it.

The question of where? comes to mind.

As for dancing, which I can't do, dance barefoot or bring a change along. Thinking of going by DSW look for flats, like black ballarina flats. My gown is black with some silver in it.

Well, as I'm not familiar with the area, I was thinking of the hotel's restaurant (presuming they have one) - - - but if you or anyone else has a better idea, I'm easy! (No, Jeannie, not THAT easy! [-X )

Dancing shoes? Well, my choice of dresses (either gold or dark purple) are requiring me to wear 4" heels, but I might be tempted to go barefoot after a while! Hmmmm, do they have gold or purple ballerina slippers? :-k Guess I'll need a larger purse, because I've got to have my camera, too!

Oh, yeah - - Virginia will be going as a brunette, the same wig as in her denim miniskirt photos in the Gallery. Oooooh, sizzling hot - that's my girl friend!! Watch out, world, these brunettes are going to have some fun on Saturday night!! :dancing:

I bought a pair of maroon ballarina flats at DSW a month back. They were hard to find and just did fit.

There is going to be a brunch on Sunday at Freddie's Beach Bar on 23rd Street, in Arlington, which is about 1 mile away from the hotel. Erica Clark (TGEA President) is organizing it, and will provide details at the formal Saturday night.

Freddie's is T-friendly and has great food too. I highly recommend it.

We can hardly wait, in fact we have both been packing, and unpacking and repacking all evening, now I may just have to throw in a couple of more outfits to choose from!!!!

Freddy's is the place where I finally got to meet Gracie for the first time. It's not far off of Jefferson Davis Hwy (Route 1), but the parking wasn't too good. If you can't get close, there's a Bank on the corner where we can park, since it's a Sunday.

Freddy's has a neon palm tree on the facade and is right beside a sports bar and grill. There's a parking lot only for the sports bar and grill across the street, but don't park there as they will tow away.

I mentioned the brunch to my wife, and she just  .

Well, Donna, I hope that she decides to join us on Sunday because I'd like to meet her, too! If she can't make it, I guess we'll just have to arrange another get-together!

We'll see you tomorrow night, first one there reserves tables for all of us!!

I did not tell my SO about the dream that I had last night. Actually I almost over-slept so we did not have much time to talk this morning.
I dreamed that I went to the TGEA, but I forgot my "hair." So I went anyway - NO ONE NOTICED!!?? AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!
What does it all mean??? Dream Interpretation 101 says what we preach for those who don't go out for fear of ?????????whatever?????? No one cares, as long as you don't meddle in their business, "they" will tend to leave you/us alone! See Steffie's post on her trip to Princeton! Boy, the stories I could tell about Princeton!!!! but that was in another lifetime!
Love you all,
Virginia
