Girl name ?

Post by Jill S »

When your Guy came out to you did he tell you his girl name right away? I picked Jill For no real reason I can think of. Should I even bring it up at first or will it only creep her out more? I will tell her about this place but don't plane to suggest she come here untill the dust settles.

I suggest not getting to the name thing until she becomes comfortable with the whole idea of your dressing, unless she asks. If she asks, then be honest.

I totally agree with Donna.

Take things one little step at a time. It's much easier for someone to take small bites than eat the whole cake at once.

Good luck to you!

Baby steps, Jill, baby steps!

From an SO's standpoint, I totally agree with Donna and Paulie. Be honest and upfront with your SO, but don't give her more information than she can handle, or is willing to handle. When she is ready to know more, she will let you know. And do be prepared to answer her questions - for she will have many.

Wishing you the best of luck!! [-o<

Sweet Jane,
I prefer to be called by my fem name when dressed, but the wife has a real hard way to go with it. Even when we went out with a group she just couldn't call me Carol and to this day only calls me hon. That's ok as long as she calls me for supper rotf

Girl Name

When I was seriously thinking of changing my name to female, all I planned was to feminise my current male names of, Patrick to Patricia, and my second name from Stephen to Stephenie , but I never went head with the change, but it is convenient to have a name that is so easy to change
Keeping them cupped comfortably.

Choosing a feminine name, I think, is a critical decision for a true crossdresser! It should not be taken lightly, as you can become more closely associated with that name than you may yet know.
I chose my name as a way to honor both my mother = Virginia and her mother, my grandmother = Irene!
As I have said on numerous occasions in the past, I think they would both be proud of their "daughter/granddaughter!"
Love,
Virginia

Jill,
my cdr chose his fem name when he first joined a forum around 4 months ago even though he had been cding for over 20 years. I also choose a name when I joined the forums and as Virginia said
It should not be taken lightly, as you can become more closely associated with that name than you may yet know
, I feel far more me as Jess than the birth name I was given ---- strange but true.

As others have already said baby steps and let her learn more as she is comfortable

Actually, within an hour of my CD'r telling me about himself, I wanted to know if he had a female name and voice while dressed and what kind of underwear he wore. I felt that the more I knew, the more I felt a part of this. But then, Nancy Drew always wants to get as many facts as possible.

Hi Nancy, -wel- to the forum.

As a kid, I read all the Nancy Drew stories in the school library. I don't recall any other boy's name on the signout card.

Hi Nancy, welcome to our 'mysterious' world. Nice to have you here. I hope you find the facts you're looking for. When you solve the age old mystery :-k of why we TG's do what we do, please let me know. :)

I told my wife when I came out to her about 4 years ago. But she paid little attention. And then 4 years later we were talking and outta the blue she calls me Tiffany. And my fem name was April Marie.
It caught us both off guard but it has stcuk because she shortened it to Tiffy. And she says I can be Tiffy at times.

So my point being, I would not tell her right away. And unless you are dead set on the name, I would wait it out and if she is ok with everything, she will help you place a fitting name down the road.

Tiffy
Would I change it? No.... Spent to long fighting to get to this point. I would not change nor give it up.
