I hate, absolutely HATE, shaving my legs!

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

What a pain, so much so that I let them go much longer than I should. :(

What do you all do about it? Is there some "mantra" that one can chant, in order to get in the mood? It really only takes about 20 minutes or so, but I think I would rather go to the dentist for a root canal than shave my legs!

Seriously, how do you all approach this?

Hi TracyQ,

I use an epilator (Enjoi brand). First time is a bit of a pain, but the regrowth is slow and finer, so the next time is easier. I do mine about every 2-3 weeks now, and it is a cinch.

However! I happen to have fairly sparse leg hair, so I don't think it is a good idea for someone with really heavy haired legs. It may be worse than waxing.

Good luck,

Lydia

Where does one find an epilator? I thought the drug store might have one, but they dont seem to know what Im talking about. Ive seen them on line, but so much difference of opinion on their effectiveness.

Just Google "epilator" - the one I use is Enjoi. Works nicely, but I don't recommend it if you have heavy hair. And certainly not around the nether regions.

Tracy,

I am sure many of you will think I am insane, and I may well be, but I love shaving my legs. I love having my body all soft and smooth. And the act of shaving itself is like giving my body this special attention I never gave it before.

Shaving, then lotioning my legs as well as the rest of my body is a daily love affair. I remember when I only longed to shave my body but could not, now I enjoy it every time.

Love always,
Elizabeth

Not all GGs shave their legs either. if you hate doing it then don't do it. Isn't that part of the whole message of this site, not to be what we are not?

I have no problem with shaving my legs, chest, and arms. I have been doing it every time I step into the shower, that is now a natural part of taking a shower. LOL

I could do without shaving.... but, who couldn't! :)

Lucky for me, I'm not too hairy to begin with, I know there are GGs that have more than me. It's gotten pretty routine for me also. Usually, every other day, I shave my legs and underarms while I shower. Bikini area about once a week. It doesn't take very much additional time at all now.

But, I couldn't imagine not being smooth everyday!

I don't shave them, as my wife won't let me.

When we were first married I did, and I had no dislike of it, nor did my wife. In fact she started it. Now she won't let me.

I think I'd probably go and have them waxed instead of shaving them all the time, if I could.

Gosh how did I over look this post, sorry

Maybe it's my age but I only need to shave under my arms maybe once a week, my legs only have hair around the knee cap, no big deal.
Lucky me never had chest hair. now down below is a problem cause it stills grows real well and I will admit I hate doing it but the wife has stated a long long time ago she enjoys it kept trimmed :-k . So to answer your question you got to do what you got to do. #-o

I am with Elizabeth, I love it! I love the smoothness on my arms and legs and then the lotion on them. It seems like a constant reminder as well to watch where I walk or put my hands and arms as bruises and cuts and other boo-boos detract from the presentation.
Just to sit in a hot bubble bath and gently glide the razor over my outstretched legs is so sensual to me. Scented, warm bath water, candles, soft music, just what a girl needs!!!!

You gotta do what you gotta do...had I never started shaving my legs I wouldn't have had to shave my legs. My leg hair was very blonde...the more you shave, the darker the hair gets, the more you have to - blech!

However I'll tell you a story about Melyssa. She was en drab burning trash as we were getting ready to move. Her son was with her and she put old kerosene on the pile of trash and lit it - KABOOM!! She burned all the hair off one leg and most off the other - it's never grown back!! I certainly don't recommend this drastic measure to not have to shave your legs but with a little touch up here and there her legs always look great - and I'm sooooooo jealous <G>!!

Melyssa says it was almost worth the pain!!!
