I like this discussion! So many times over the past few years (since I came here to join the fray) I've heard that men's clothes are so lacking in color and feminine flair, hence the phrase en-drab. and this is a reason to cross-dress. But here, if given the opportunity to UN-drab men's clothes, the choice is no, its not really color or cut, its really the intention of the clothes. Interesting!

This is a hard question to answer to be frank, I'm not sure what I would do. My best guess is no. I like the feel of the material and shape that the fashion designers use for the girls out there, ie. ( I have tank tops designed the same for males and females, however the male tops are made of more coarse material, not as soft on the skin), I know that it must sound silly but that is what I have found. Women have alot more to choose from when it comes to style then men. My thoughts only

I think the closist that men's fashions have gotton to females was durn the 70's. Men wore leisure suits, slik shirts and platform shoes. I have seen some pant suit outfits that I just loved and wished that men could wear them. There are many fem pnats and pnat outfits that if men were allowed to wear them they would. You don't have to wear dress or skits to be sensual and fem.

I already do
My day to day style is a "polished soft neutral" and my wardrobe is a mix and match of men's and women's but it all fits together along with a shorter but feminine hair style and light makeup

I don't think it's an either/or question.
The greater ornamentation afforded to women in our culture is one reason I crossdress and if I could get away with wearing some of that sort of thing en homme I would.
And there are the "bravehearts" and "freestylers" who want greater freedom in dress, but have no interested in portraying themselves as women (which accounts for their touchiness about being called "crossdressers").
If I had the freedom to wear "women's-styled" clothes as a boy, would I have become a crossdresser? Perhaps not. But honest, these days, presenting myself as if I were a women is a major part of the appeal of crossdressing to me.
