It's been about two weeks or so from the last time I was in NYC. It was a good and interesting evening though and also very cold. I was previously thinking of going to Tom's River but the event was canceled at last minute.
Since it was so cold, I decided to wear some new jeans I got. They were tight stretch jeans, size 8. I also wore my older wig as I didn't want to have the cold and dampness ruin the new one. Before going to NY though, I stopped in a nail salon (en-femme) and had fills for my nails, some clear polish and got my eyebrows waxed. It was the first time I went en-femme there in about a month (last time I went for fills, I was male).
After the nail salon, I caught the bus for NYC in mid-afternoon. When arriving there, I decided ti walk downtown instead of taking the subway. I browsed through some stores while I was walking. I stopped and had some dinner.
I then did some dancing and met more nice people. This one girl in particular was very nice. As it turned out she went to law school. She went with some friends but her boyfriend didn't join them. She gave me some good pointers on how to be a woman and even offered to buy me a drink. I tried a vodka, something I never had before. That was like having 3 drinks I think. lol I don't drink too often and am not familiar with various drinks besides wine. I also called this CD friend of mine who hasn't got out often and asked him to come; he did for a short while but had to leave early.
After closing, I took the subway back uptown to catch my bus. On the platform I met this one guy that was lost; his voice suggested he was from England (of course I was careful as I am with all strangers). As it turned out he wanted to go to the Bronx. I looked at the subway map on the train and found he should take a train (local) to get to his destination. He got on my train but at my stop I showed him where to grab the other train (as my train wouldn't go as close to his destination). This other train would take him to his destination. As I was walking toward the exit, I saw his train coming and he got on. I'm glad I was able to help someone.
Once again about 95% of the people I encountered treated me with courtesy and respect (i.e. treated me as a woman). The 95% more than make up for the other 5%!
