The Genie

[Sally]

A lady was walking along a beach one day when she suddenly came across a bottle washed up on the sand.
She picked the bottle up and pulled out the cork, suddenly there was a puff of smoke and a Genie appeared.
The lady said, ” I suppose you’re one of those Genies who grants three wishes are you?”
The Genie said,” No, I’m one of those Genies who only grants one wish, so make it a good one.”

Without hesitation the lady said,” Well, I want to see peace in the Middle East, I want the Jews to love the Arabs and vice versa, I want all those little countries who are at war with each other to love each other and live in peace, I want all the people in the Middle East to love each other and indeed love everyone in the world.”

She produced a map out of her handbag and showed the Genie all the Middle East countries she wanted to make peace.

The Genie looked at the map and said,” Lady be reasonable, I’m good but not THAT good, this is too hard, these countries have been at war with each other for ten thousand years, and I’m out of shape after being bottled up for a thousand years, please make another more reasonable wish.”
With that he handed her back the map.

The lady thought for a few moments then said,” Look, I’ve never in my life been able to find the right man, you know the kind I mean, one who will love me only and for ever be true, one who cooks and washes the dishes, one who is great in bed, one who cleans the house, one who doesn’t break wind in bed, one who doesn’t sit in front of the TV drinking beer and watching sport all weekend, one who doesn’t get around with several days beard growth and smelling of sweat, you know the kind I’m looking for.”

The Genie thought pensively for a few moments then held out his hand and said, “ Give me another look at that map.”
