Well I decided to make these two days mine. I got home last night, took a nice, long, hot, relaxing bubble bath with candles of course. Got out, put on a three piece, red nightee, poured a couple of glasses of wine and SL and I cuddled on the couch - it was WONDERFUL!
This morning I got dressed in my new "Old Navy" tan leather mini skirt, a white mock turtle neck sweater, accessories and my long brown leather coat with the fur collar and headed for the bank. I had intended to go in but when I got there the lot was full, so I headed for the drive-through. It was empty - weird! Anyway, I pull up to the window and as the teller slides the drawer out I glance into the lobby and there are, at best guess, 15 -20 people standing in lines and gheesh, they are all looking at me!!! Talk about your fishbowl effect! Now I know I pass, it wasn't that, it just felt strange to have all these people looking at me. Here they are standing in line for who knows how long and some broad drives up, does her business and is gone. Really strange - well at least to me!
I came home, put on a much too tight t-shirt and a pair of short shorts and we have been putting up wall paper and putting down a few pieces of carpet. Then we are going to take a nap, dress, have some supper and off to the movies. We decided to see "Notes on a Scandal!" with Cate Blanchett and Judi Dench. It is described as a "dark comedy/drama." The local "Arts" theater is carrying it as it is not a "main-stream" movie. Evidently, Judi Dench is a private school principal and get the "hots" for a new art teacher, Cate Blanchett and it is about a "psycho-lesbian" stalking the new teacher.
Just our week-end! Girls having fun!
Love,

The movie, Notes on a Scandal, was very well written and the acting was excellent. The movie was set in England, and the English accent was dead-on to my very untrained ear. However, when they were talking very fast - when they were getting excited or in a heated exchange - then the accent made it very difficult for me to follow the conversation. I'm sure that if we were to watch more UK-based movies or television shows then I would be more adept at understanding that darned "accent". {Yes, Curly, it is you and your fellow UK-ers who have the accent, not us!!!
Judi Dench played the role of the (lesbian) history teacher at the private school high school, and she develops the "hots" for actress Cate Blanchett, the new art teacher. The art teacher, who is married and with a family, has the hots for one of her male students. You can imagine what happens, especially when Judi realizes that her affections are not returned by Cate - - very classic scenario, but well written. I will not give away more details of the movie, but do pay attention to what Judi writes in her diary, for that is the key to the whole movie.
I would recommend this movie for viewing as the script, and especially the acting, were excellent. My movie review rating is 4 out of 5:
This coming weekend we're planning on seeing the movie, "Pan's Labyrinth," which has been nominated for 6 Academy awards. Official website: http://www.panslabyrinth.com/

Last Saturday was my wife's birthday. No dressing up on her birthday.
I set one present out (perfume) with a card, and she opened it while a slept in. After she opened her present, she went to a sewing/craft class.
After her class I set the other one out (matching earrings and necklace), which surprised her, as she thought the perfume was the extent.
Shopping for the presents Friday evening (last minute, but not, as I couldn't find anything I liked earlier in the week), I found the jewelry at the last jewelry store (Zales) I was going to in the mall, as it was on the third floor, and none of the others had anything that caught my eye. The set was 63% off.
They had two sets that I liked, both 63% off, so I bought both, whereas the second set is for Valentine's Day. Shhhh!
After getting up Saturday, I reckon I mostly did nothing but surf the net and watch television, until it was time to go out to eat with our son and daughter. We went to Red, Hot & Blue for dinner/supper.
Sunday was another day of watching tv, waiting for the Super Bowl to come on.
We haven't gone to the movies in a while, and instead, we've gone bowling or shot pool. Both activities around here cost more than the movies, but were fun.
