Interesting! There was some discussion of Jung and the Anima and the Animus that "develops" in men and women and the Yin and Yang, but only from the prospect of the individual not losing control of their particular personna!
This is where we as crossdressers seem to "have a leg up" on the balance of our Neandrathal brethren! When we "sense" this anima or the Yang as part of our "personna" we tend to become interested in understanding it - trying to determine what is making us feel this way - i.e., "the gift" begins to manifest itself in our very being and we sort of go with it - shows intelligence! Most others begin the "overkill" process of trying to supress it, repress it, ignore it! I am developing a theory that, if I may use the term "red-necks", out there are two categories: those with an over abundance of testosterone and those that are, for lack of a better term, so "shocked" that they have even the slightest feminine tendencies that they "go nuts" in the other direction! The bushy beard, the well worn, dirty baseball cap with some "expletive deleted" wording on it, the plaid and albeit dirty, plaid shirt, boots and an attitude of "I'll kick your backside just because" and they think that their macho attitude toward all women will hide their own insecurities of having these "feminine" feelings come to them.
Just this girl's thoughts!

I was wondering why the information in that link jumped out at me at the time.
Giving it some thought, I think the part where one can turn the "shadow" part to ones advantage was it. It never occurred to me one could even do that! (Does that make me a blond?:)) A way to make lemonade...!! Cool
What an eye opener.
Not everyone is going through midlife issues, but that link filled in some holes for me.
I continue to be amazed at how much this forum has helped me understand a lot of things. Wow!
