Zappos!

Post by Tink (GG) »

I am sure many of you already know about Zappos online shoes already but if not, you should! I told Jeannie about them and thought I'd share with you all. They have ALL sizes and you can have your shoes by next day. I can't resist a new pair of sandals.

I've heard of them, but I have to try on in the store before buying. Some shoes are just made different, and thus, size different.

That is true for alot of folks, DonnaT! One good thing about Zappos is that you can shop by brand and if you have a particular brand that you trust the fit of, you can just search that brand.

I agree, though. Part of the fun of buying shoes is trying them on :-)

I love looking at Zappos' selection, but thought they were a bit pricey.

About a year ago, though - before I had divorced the hubby - I had bought a new pair of strappy 4" high heels (the beige ones in my photo gallery) and he got upset that I spent $15.00 on that pair of shoes - totally unreasonable, I know. So, I did what anyone would do - I scoured the Zappos site until I found an identical pair that was selling for $85.00 and showed it to him. He no longer complained when I came home with a new pair of heels (at least, not to me)!! _P

Now, I am with my soul mate, and Virginia and I just love shopping for shoes . . . and clothes, too!

Zappos is on the pricier side, but all the shoes I've gotten from them are well-made -- and the shipping if free both ways.

Incidently, Avenue has nice shoes in larger sizes, and are bit more reasonably priced.

Iwill have to give Zappo's alook see, but as Marlena commented, some Avenue stores have a very nice selection of plus sized shoes, and don't forget the clearance rack........... I did try them on in homme but was discreet as they are respectful.

When buying in either mode, I want to leave the sales team with a positive opinion of the transgendered family.
Enjoy today, cause this ain't a dress rehersal!

Yes, I agree some of the shoes are pricey but you can get some great buys in the sale section if you search. (Zappos can take hours, SO many shoes)

You do get what you pay for and nothing beats a really good pair of shoes :-)

Have a beautiful day, girls!
