How do you want to go ?
When I go I had left instrunctions on how, have you ?
I have cut this some of this out of my will, but edited it.
Theses are my last wishes and should be followed to the letter.
1. I leave all my worldly goods to XXX my Son.
2. During the viewing at the furnal and at the time of internment to the ground, shale that take place, I shall be dress as a female.
3. My breast forms will be attached to my body using Hollister Medical adhesive #7730 and a proper bra placed over them.
4. Nylon panties and sanitary pad in the crotch and panty hose over them and black high heel pumps for shoes.
5. Over that a black slip, full face and nail makeup, wig, and ear rings (my silver hoop ones).
6. In my closet there is a little black dress with a single button at the neck, I wish to wear that for over clothes.
7. I’m dressing like this to meet my maker, I have always felt like a women pretending to be a man and it’s been hard to keep up the faults front, in this way I will be able to tell my maker they did not quite get the recipe right.
If any one should contest this my last will, Tell them I promise to haunt them in there dreams and waking lives for ever, if they dare interfere with my last wishes.
Hugs

When I go I would like a full Viking burial. If you do not know what that is I will tell you. You and your favorite items you own are loaded on to a wooden boat. You are launched by your friends and family out to sea. Then flaming arrows are launched towards the boat and you and your items are then cremated at sea. I am sure that it would not be able to do it off the US coast due to EPA issues.
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons. As you are crunchy and good with chocolate!

Sorry to disappoint, Judy, but when you meet your maker the clothes you wore in the grave will remain in the grave.7. If your soul is female, then that will be what is seen, IMHO.
So, give your clothes and forms to another CD, one who might not be able to afford them.

That's a great plan, Judy.....
I dont really care how they present me after I'm gone... mainly because the funeral is not for me but for those i leave behind... and they can dress me how ever they want as long as it helps to eas their pain somewhat...

How do you want to go
How will I go? Kicking n screaming....Life is a
. LOL... but seriously, I've told my family it's up to them, they're the ones who'll be left behind, and the way they want to remember me before the lid is finally shut is their choice.
Memories are for the living, how I live each day is important to me now, but after I'm gone it won't matter to me what I'm wearing, but it may to those left behind who have to live with their memories for the rest of their lives.
Kind Regards,
Sally.

Watch nature, because it’s our greatest teacher, it moves and flows and moves on again. We can never be free until we disengage, so allow life to flow as you find it. The way it is, is the way it is.

I'm an organ donor so they'll give my various parts to folks who need them. As for the rest, they can give it to medical students to practice whatever on.
After death the body is an empty container. It should be disposed of accordingly. Or if you want to be politically correct, think of it as recylcing.

Hi Absoroka,
I agree with you that the body is only a shell when we are done with it. I think that funeral directors are catering to the living, not the dead. The "dearly departed"certainly doesn't know or careafter the last breath is taken. My grandmother used to tell us about her uncle that would always say"When I die stick a ham bone up me "arse"and let the dogs drag me around." On his death bed he told her it was time to get the ham bone. That's kinda my attitude. It really doesn't matter but if I can donate my body to the medical feild it would only be to serve as a bad example.LOL.
Love,
Lisbeth

I want to be cremated and have my ashes combined with Molly and Elayne and then let us blow iin the wind together. We have discussed this at length lately. We both want to have our organs donated. We tried to donate Molly's but the infection had compromised them.
I have become so disgusted with this Anna Nicole Smith thing. Let her rest in peace with her son. This is the reason we all need to have a will.

Speaking as a paralegal, here's my 2c:
Everyone should have, at the very least, a Will, Living Will, Health Care Advocacy, and a Durable Power of Attorney (which works beyond death). Better yet, a Living Trust (which, in essence, is like putting all your assets into a 'personal holding corporation') includes all of those documents and, most importantly, safeguards your assets for your heirs, as probate court is not necessary with a Living Trust. Once the probate court is informed that a Living Trust was in place for the decedent, they no longer have any control over the estate and the assets are dispersed according to the wishes of the decedent. This not only saves time, but money. The few extra dollars for a Living Trust is money well spent, IMHO.

Virginia, honey, you'll be coming along with me, and I with you, and we'll be holding each other close. First star to the right, then straight on til morning!!

I agree with you 100%, but even Wills can, and have, been contested - as have Living Trusts, Living Wills, and Health Care Advocacy (aka Health Care Power of Attorney) - and sometimes successfully. The only ones who really make out, though, are the attorneys. Most probate judges hate hearing contested wills and the like. Still, unless someone can prove the decedent was coerced or was not of 'sound mind' when those documents were signed, the probate court will generally rule in favor of the decedent's last wishes.Lisa(SO) wrote:I have become so disgusted with this Anna Nicole Smith thing. awww..this is a topic we either avoid or prepare for. Myself, I will be cremated..and my ashes spread in the skies I loved to fly in. I love this song by Cristopher Cross http://www.christophercross.com/ Its such a great song to fly to while listening. But...heck my mom was cremated..she wanted that and so we did. The Catholic Church had just permitted that...she was always on top of that stuff. But they didn't allow her urn in the church for the mass...maybe they do now. I took some rose petals from her grave..and threw them out over her hometown when I flew over it...Silly yes..but important to me.
Now..as far as Anna Nichole...a farce..but heck..its Fla...its like Elian a few years back. And, btw..she died less than a mile from where the "blessed virgin mary grilled cheese sandwich" was made......we're so good here.
But everyone listen to SL what she said is SOOOO important....and I'm going through it now..and wish I had when mom died....do it!!!!
Ok going to my woodshed.....whoops..don't have one..does Home Depot sell them?
hugs all
DeeDee

Hey, thanks for the support, DeeDee! I'm sorry that you're going through the hell known as Probate Court, but hindsight is 20/20!!
There's no reason for you to visit the forum's woodshed (or buy your own at Home Depot); no one is in the forum's woodshed right now except the cobwebs. I'm keeping Virginia in the Hayloft with me, but do yourself a favor - - knock first!!

I am to be cremated. Part of the ashes are to given to a company in Austin that collects ashes of people, puts them into cylinders. The cylinders are loaded into the payload of a special satillite. It will be put into orbit along with others. It may be the only way I get a chance to go into space. LOL The rest of my ashes will sit in an urn on the mantel.
