Travelling with breast forms

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Travelling with breast forms

Post by Carla L »

My breast forms come in a box with a plastic shape you place the forms into. They keep them safe in storage.

This week when I went out, I brought my forms AND THE BOXES with me. This takes up a lot of room.

I wonder how others keep their breast forms safe when transporting them?

Robyn, I do the same, in the box. As if you squeeze them too hard they could break open. And with watching the luggage handlers, and the way TSA people repack sometimes I do not want to take any chances.

My forms came in separate boxes as they are medical grade and often are sold as individuals. I notice the box was a bit extra big, most likely a standard box for all of their sizes. I was able to place one plastic shape inside the other, upside down and opposite of the other. So to put forms in, I take the lid off and pull the plastic out and place one form in. Then put the box over the form and plastic, then flip, put in the other form and put on the lid. Box still takes up space, but only half and they are still protected.

Hi Lori,

I bought the forms here:
http://www.glamourboutiquecart.com/inde ... tegory=341
I like these because of the prominent nipples (they look and feel real also). Be careful, I bought a size B and they are bigger than I thought they would be. I have trouble finding 42b bras that fit right though. I'm not overweight, I lift weights....

The forms came in individual boxes (one of my prize possessions now).
The boxes are about 6"x8"x4". I put them into a large gym bag and they are protected when I go about. I was just curious how others did it.

Oh, and I don't have the courage (yet) to go into a mall. I have gone out in the daylight now, walked in a park and into the family restroom at a highway rest stop. Soon I will walk the parking lot of a large department store (too scared to go in just yet). I've really progressed in buying stuff now. No one cares.. I just act as normal as i would buying men's clothing. I don't pay attention to others. I do this dressed in men's clothing.

I've tried clothing on at Kohls, Sears and Fashion Bug so far with no issues.

KimberlyS - thank you for the reply.... it is appreciated.

Hi Robyn,

Generally I transport mine in unwired bra, under my sweater.
If I have to pack them I make a nest from socks etc and make sure they are positioned nipple down into the nest.

I dont know what you mean by repacking. Perhaps you can explain that problem?

take care

I'm guessing here but if your luggage gets checked, say at an airport, then they do not take the best of precaution to 'repack' the luggage the way you put them in.

I think I will stick with taking the box with me, until I can come up with a better idea.

Kerri, Robyn is correct in repacking by the TSA. Depending on the airport now, most luggage goes through x-ray and other machines. But at least some are hand checked. Being hand checked varies based on the person checking, the back-up of luggage, and the alert level. Some of the checks I have seen are from just pushing things aside a bit as they dig around, all the way to removing most of the contains placing them on the table and opening every container and dig through every pocket and look between most of the clothes. Most I have seen remove some things, check any bags inside and dig around a bit. When they are done most take the standard suitcase approach. Put things back in how ever and push the lid closed.

And they seem indifferent to what ever is in the suitcase..... just stuff to look through. Some panties are nicer than others. :P

Im so glad they dont do that over here!
Here they use the x-Ray, then you have to take your shoes off, then your belt, and then take your keys & bits from your pockets; then if the alarm bell still rings you get frisked.
Isnt the modern world fun?
