A new dress

Yesterday evening my wife walked into my office and had a bag with her.

She pulled out a dress, and said, "I don't want to condone your behavior but I was out shopping and saw this dress and thought of you." It was a blue polka dotted wrap dress. I thanked her and she quickly left. Of course I immediately put it on.

Later that evening I said I'd like to try it on for her. She balked a little and I've been taught here not to push anything. I let it drop.

In the morning, we were talking and she said something about returning a top to the Fashion Bug and I asked if she could get me a necklace and earings to go with the dress. She looked at me a bit funny and said red would go fine. I said, "Oh, I have a red beaded necklace and drop earings already!". She said "And shoes?", "Yes" I said, "of course!"

She went to the store and when she returned she couldn't wait to have me go upstairs with her. She bought some more clothing, but also bought me a new white necklace....

I didn't have the heart to ask her for white earings!

Soon she is going to teach me how to do makeup. That has been a going think for over a month, but she still says she wants me to know how to do it right!

Baby steps, they are working.... One day in the future, I will introduce Carla to her.

Congratulations, Carla!!

Now you have an excuse to go shopping (as if that was really necessary!) . . . for those white earrings and, of course, white heels and a matching purse, if you don't already have them!!

How about a white hat?

Now thats wonderful good news.

See baby steps are working and I believe your wife will want to see Carla before long. Now you say she is going to help you with your makeup?, thats also great. Sweetheart just give it a little time and all will be great. My wife too will pick me up things off the clearance rack if she feels it would look nice on me.

That's wonderful, Carla! it really goes to show how important it is to let someone come to terms with your CDing at their own pace. I'm so glad you're finding a way to explore your feminine side together and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the trend continues for you.

Of course it says a lot about your wife that she is open to accepting this part of you. It also speaks volumes about your own ability to find a compatible soul to share your life and your finesse in handling the tricky process of revealing yourself is to be commended.

I'm so proud to be part of this community! You girls really are the best.

Kimberly --- yes yes shopping!

I wore the dress today, but used red instead of white.

I really liked the look... I hope to have some time one day to take pictures. its been a while.

The baby steps have been just that and I wish things would move faster, but I've learned I have to be patient.

I'd love heels but at 6' I feel out of place if I get any taller! I've had to settle for flats and heels about 1/2" tall. bummer...

Do yourself a favor, go out and buy yourself a nice pair of heels ( HIGH heels) and do it for you. You don't have to wear them in public but you could enjoy them around the house. Hell enjoy yourself and have fun

Carla, I agree with Carol Ann. Buy yourself a pair of high heels, and at the very least wear them at home for *you*.

I've seen many tall GG's wearing heels, at least 3" or more, and they look good. Many outfits require high heels, and in fact quite a few outfits just don't look good with "flats" or "low heels" at all, regardless of the height of the wearer.

Speaking of heels my new ones arrived today. I was reading an e-mail from NewPortNews and was looking at the clearance sale.

They had a pair of heels in my size in a raspberry color (off pink) for only $9.00
I have purchased shoes from them before and they are of good quality, go do it girl be all you can be have fun

Didn't take me long, I ordered 2 pair today from Payless. Have to get 11w and the choices at their stores are poor, on line they are pretty good though.

I'm pretty excited about it.

I have to go out of town next week so I won't get them till I return. I had them shipped free to one of the stores so I'll stop and get them.
