I read that it is based on the life of the sports writer that recently told his/her readers she/he was transitioning. I haven't read anything about the aftermath of her publc announcement? Anyone in California know anything about it?

Was a pretty big story out here for a week or so, he was one of the top sports writers for the LA Times, LA's main paper.

This is what he wrote in the paper when he/she came out, its pretty good

Just Google "LA Sportswriter Transgender" and you will get about 31K hits.

His old name was "Mike Penner" and the new one is "Christine Daniels" you might try to google those names.
