Have any of you ladies tried the emjoi epilator for you legs? I saw on a shopping channel, and was curious how well it worked?

Hi,
I have found that epilators work well, the only down side is that it takes a little time to get use to the gentle ripping out of the hair. But the positive thing is as time goes by hair becomes more sparse.
In southern Australia we have just come into Spring, after a fairly cold winter, and it is now the time to begin my de-furring after my winter hibination

I've been using the Enjoi model with great success, but my leg hair is not very heavy. After a few runs, the regrowth is very sparse, and now I find I need it maybe once a month or more.

If you have a heavy growth, it will be painful, and depends on how high your pain threshold is.

DON'T use it in delicate groin areas.

Thanks for the info. Just bought one on Ebay. I want to try on my legs and underarms. Here in Texas, just starting Fall, so ready to get get rid of that nasty legg hair!

Don't know that model but if you've got a great pain threshold epilators are recomended espcially on my arm pit area as it leaves no shaddow like shaving, mine says its suitable for bikini line never tried it there myself.

Tip one: Do not be a guy, READ the instructions!

Hair length, how you hold the epilator and direction of movement make a huge difference.

It also helps to take a warm shower or bath before hand to open up the pores and then dry well and do not put anything on your body before using the epilator.

We have a Braun epilator and it works good. Just takes some time getting use to it as some have already pointed out.

I have thick coarse hair on most of my body including my chest. I got the ok to remove chest hair and my wife and I bought and epilator. She loved it for her legs. I like the results on my chest, but it took several sittings to get it done for me.

I've used several models, my favorite is the remington. I own 3 of them, one that skips (leave out by the pool area in the shed, one in the bathroom and one in my office. Dumb huh. I also have a braun, i don't like that one.

I use it for private area (VERY VERY CAREFULLY) arms, legs and chest. Well, everywhere almost. Over time I find the hairs get finer and instead of pulling them out, sometimes it just breaks them at the skin.

My wife always raves how I am smoother than her, but I spend a lot of time epilating.

Start when you are cleanly washed (oily skin does not work as well). Be aware, it will get better. It does not hurt at all anymore.

Expect to be red the first times. Luckily I've never been too hairy.
Be aware, you'll get some in grown hairs. Over time I find this less and less so.

It also helps to use a beard trimmer to cut the hair closer to the skin. The epilators work best on 1/8 inch or less hair, less pain or tug, and it doesn't have to work as hard to pull hair out. Taking a warm shower or bath before is a good suggestion too.
