My First Time to Wear Nothing But Women's Clothes in Public
On Friday, I bought a pair of women's blue jeans and a woman's brown tee shirt. Then I bought some women's sport shoes. Then to JC Penny and bought black jeans that are really fuzzy and feel dreamy (the best I can say is that they look something like corduroy without the ridges). Then I bought a blue pull over that looks like it has a white tee shirt under it but it doesn't (I guess they call it a mock tee shirt).
I then wore these things in public the next 2 days with my women's undies with no socks but with my nylon stockings showing. I admit these things look like men's clothes although the brown tee shirt has a much wider neck than men's shirts and the black jeans look pretty feminine even if they are pants.
To my amazement, no one seemed to notice and I felt better about myself. I bought the jeans at WalMart where they have a woman check your garments. I think they must have a limit of 4 garments and I had quite a pile of women's jeans (many more than 4) but she just called it 4 and let me try them on. When I came out, I gave her the jeans I didn't want and then tried on some other women's clothes. She had to know I was trying on women's clothes but was very courtious and didn't ask me anything. When I bought the shoes, the checker asked if I had tried them on, I said yes and she didn't say anything else.
I have to say I like women's stretch jeans even though the fly doesn't un-zip quite as far as men's jeans and the pockets are shallower than men's jeans. Manufactures need to make men's jeans stretch like that. I love the stretch.

Sissy, sounds like you had fun shopping and being out. I wear a lot of androgynous / unisex clothes and shoes. I agree no one seems to notice or care if they do notice. I have had some interesting smiles and grins from gals at times.
Glad you had fun.

Hurray! Isn't it a blast shopping. I agree with the stretch jeans, they are so comfortable.
I've tried on so many things at all sorts of stores now, I was in your shoes about 6 months ago. Since then I've simply shopped where I want and no one has ever said anything to me. The most I've ever felt odd was at JC Penny where I paid for a blouse while dressed enfemme. The clerk just stared at me after the transaction. I felt like asking her if there was a problem, I know she could tell I was a man. I didn't say anything, just gave her a HUGE smile in return....
Good luck and have fun!
Oh, the short pockets in the jeans drive me nuts...

You'd better get used to the short pockets, girlfriends . . . unlike men, women don't usually stuff their pockets with keys, pocket knives, miscellaneous tools (screws, nuts, bolts, etc.), and the like . . . the pockets are just deep enough for that lipstick container and maybe some loose coins, and that's more than enough!! And for those jeans with the dreaded back pocket? Women don't usually need to stuff their billfold in their pants . . . that's why we have purses!Carla L wrote:Oh, the short pockets in the jeans drive me nuts...

The fuzzy material you mentioned, possibly suede?
The black jeans are actually corduroy, made of 98% cotton and 2% spandex. I guess the spandex must be what gives them some stretch. I think I found the same jeans on JC Penney's Web Site. They must have been textured is some way different than most corduroy.
I forgot that I also got a Liz Claybourne belt that stretches which had the price marked down several times.
When I ate breakfast on Saturday, I think a watress did notice I was wearing a bra because she sort of gasped when saw me the first time. She was however very polite and nice after that.

Exactly right! Why spoil your the curve of your hips by stuffing those pockets? Besides, if you can can fit anything thicker than a credit card into the pocket, your jeans aren't tight enough.SilverLady(SO) wrote:You'd better get used to the short pockets, girlfriends . . . unlike men, women don't usually stuff their pockets with keys, pocket knives, miscellaneous tools (screws, nuts, bolts, etc.), and the like . . . the pockets are just deep enough for that lipstick container and maybe some loose coins, and that's more than enough!! As for those back pockets, I think their real purpose is to provide sort of a focal point to enhance men's enjoyment of viewing womens butts wiggle as they walk. I say this from many years of experience as a guy

I have worn my woman's jeans for several days now and have gotten used to the shallow front pockets. I like them so well I've been thinking about getting rid of all my men's jeans and buying women's. When I was out today, I noticed a lot of women didn't carry purses when they were wearing jeans or shorts that have pockets.
I tried doing in search for “men’s stretch jeans” and found several brands on this web site.
By the way, I appreciate whoever fixed my 9/24 posting. I figured out how to do it in this posting. Even though I seem to becoming more like a woman every day, I can sometimes figure technical things every now and then.

I have been dressing this way for at least two years now and some items for much longer. Undies, all my life - shoes, twenty years - shirts and jeans gradually over the last ten years.
I do have some fem clothing but only for in private.

I have been gradually wearing more women's clothing over the years until I am now at the point that I have no men's clothing at all. All I wear in public is unisex style but so far no one has made a comment or appeared to notice.I wear a lot of androgynous / unisex clothes and shoes. I agree no one seems to notice or care if they do notice.

I'm the same way....
I've phased out most of my men's clothes.
No one really seems to notice the difference in some styles of womens dress pants and such.
As for the jeans....
Once I discovered how great womens jeans fit, I did away with all my mens. I have nothing but womens jeans now, and never really get a second glance from anyone... at least that I'm aware of. I love the different styles and features you can get with womens and juniors jeans.

I always purchase my jeans in a stretch fabric and in a standard or "classic" style, without rear pockets if possible. I really like the higher waist. I find the "French Dressing" brand is my favorite for fit and style. My second favorite is the "Denver Hayes" classic fit.Charla wrote:What label / design of lady's jeans seem to fit best?
One thing that really helps me with the fit is that my waist is 6" smaller than my hips (so far).
