Why are some groups "special access"?

Some groups are blocked because of the nature of the information such as:

Hot Topics, which is subjects like religion, politics, and other post topics that are getting a bit more lively than what is wanted in the main forum. Then a bit more open discussion is allowed.

Or such as Journey Beyond allows a bit more in depth discussion of those who are more than a CDer pushing in to TS.

The Significant Other's area is just that. An area for just wifes and girlfriends to discuss things.

If you want to join one of these groups just PM SilverLady or Sharon. Often they require enough posts to get a feel for who you are.

It also takes a 30 day waiting period after you become a member. Then you're elgible to sign up for the special usergroups.

I couldn't have said it better myself... Well done ladies... :)

Hi Brenda,

We do like to make sure of who we are letting into these usergroups because of the topics being discussed. So that's why we have a "waiting period" to make sure that person isn't joining just to stir up trouble. We sometimes make exceptions if members post a lot and we can get a feel of what they are like.
