Sorry for going nuts with the pictures, but I just love to get dressed up and now I love to see what I look like in pictures.

Thank you for the compliment on the pictures. I got it from a friend who has a pawn shop. I only paid $15 for it. It's a good tripod and was new. The joke was on me however, it was missing the plate that attaches the camera to the tripod. I did an internet search and the manufacturer is out of business. I now have a new project, to fabricate the plate...

a good source for USED photo/video stuff on the net WITH LOW RISK to you is www.BHphotovideo.com . . . its where professionals shop. Click on "used" on the homepage. I'm sure all their used tripods come with plates
Its also an EXCELLENT place to sell used stuff . . . you just pack up the equipment and send it. They'll look at it and send you a check . . . if you don't like the amount, they'll send your stuff back at THEIR expense!

Hi Lisa,
I'm glad you're on Cloud 9.
Those pictures were as great as I'd said.
The Jamie experience is awesome, awesome, awesome!!!
Jamie is a super pro with makeup. I can't say I learned too much really.
I've been twice. Both sessions lasted over 8 hours, were hard work, lots of wardrobe changes and poses. No eating (messes up makeup) and a long drive home.
It's a CD amusement park experience. Meaning, you won't want to leave, but you'll be so tired.
You'll be surprised and you'll love it!!
Feel free to ask any specific question if I missed what you're looking for.

I must say I'm just laying it on the tripod without attaching it in any wayMay I ask what you are using as a (hopefully) temporary way to attatch your camera to your tripod?

I know how that goes, sometimes you've got to improvise! (and that includes using duct tape
if that perfect picture is a must-have!!! LOL)
Oh, if you can find a beanbag, they make perfect leveling devices. I keep one in the car in case something "exciting" happens on the road and there is no time for a tripod. One can quickly stop the car, plop the beanbag on the hood, put the videocamera on the bag and click "record" and presto: instant "film at 11" footage!
ps: Lisa, that shot with the camera in the frame is quite cool!
