"t" is an empowering 10-part documentary series, an unprecedented look into the lives, the loves, the glamour, the glory, the dreams, the hopes and, sometimes, the tragedy and heartbreak of ten very diverse and unique transsexual women - all striving to survive in a world where acceptance often goes hand in hand with rejection.
This is the story of what it means to be "t" in America's largest urban landscape, New York City.

Thanks Donna, I just don't get it!?
I would assume it will be on television?? But it does not say what channel, like "Discover" or maybe the "Travel Channel?"
The trailer seemed to be almost in not totally about "prostitution" by/with trannies and that is not what most of us are about.
Yes, it is a difficult life, but what "they" (the ones in this trailer) seem to be doing is supporting themselves through prostitution. A variation on a theme, "Breakfast on Pluto."
I think I would watch it or at least the first episode (could pick up some make-up tips
) then again, I don't want to look like a hooker!
If someone finds out more about it please post the channel, time, etc.
Cox Cable MSNBC ran a two hour "special" today = Saturday from 4:00p to 6:00pm on being transexual. "We" = those of us who are who we are, are getting the publicity so to speak so we can't complain that we are being totally ignored!
Keep the faith, ladies.
Love,
Virginia

This looks to be a group of T girls in ultra urban setting. It looks like most of them have stage names or some link to the entertainment / night club industry.
So its more a self promotional documentary. If thats what you do for a living, go for it. But I dont think it represents most of us.
In fact if this was aired publicly, it would just promote a stereotype that most of us would rather not be attached to those of us not in that industry.
IMHO being T is complicated enough in itself. Sex is a secondary issue somewhere else in importance. Also (I hope this doesn't get me into trouble) This type of documentary just feeds the fundamentalists whose main contention to us seems to revolve around their inability to separate physical sex from psychological gender identity.
