Yesterday my new pair of heels arrived so this morning as I got dressed I put them on. Now the fun part, they are a 4" heel and I was having a lot of trouble walking in them and the wife had a field day of laughing and clapping her hands and in general making fun of me but in good sport.
Can you believe it she said I looked like a teenager trying on her first pair of heels and leaning how to walk in them she even called me Miss Prissy.
Oh my I didn't know that an half an inch on a heel could be so different. Hay it's OK practice makes perfect if I don't kill myself in the mean time.
Sounds like a delightful way to spend the morning! I'm so glad you and your wife are comfortable enough to laugh and enjoy the experience together.
I remember buying a pair of lovely black heels at Nordstroms, the first time I was brave enough to try a pair on in the store, and despite not being that high they were definitely a little tricky (I think the heel was fairly far forward which came as a surprise.) When I wobbled after taking my first step the helpful salesperson, a male, observed that it might take a while to get used to them. I did my best to smile and nod as if this were a wise and helpful observation but I think laughing feels more like the right response!
