Wilbur flew for 3 seconds on December 14th. 1903 and then pranged it! but Orville made the first 'successful' flight on December 17th. 1903. Logically the answer is ORVILLE but morally on the understanding that 'any landing you can walk away from is a good one!' the answer should be WILBUR.
Off Kay goes again in another direction.
