We lucked out, and the heavier snow was East of us.

I took a dust mop and dusted off the cars twice last night. The wind is quite hard this morning, so the roads dried pretty quick, making it an easy commute to work.

We had a pleasant little blizzard, with an official count of about 15 inches and lots of drifts. Bad for folks going home after the holidays, but for us it just meant we stayed home that day and cleared things away the next.

As i live relatively close to Susan we have recently experienced similar weather.

The thaw came very quickly here, it dissapeared overnight from Sunday evening to Monday morning.

Christmas is over, it was white, I'm ready for Spring again. How long will it take for the 17 inches of snow on the ground to melt?

I have a feeling it is going to be a long winter here in Wisconsin.

According to the calendar, winter lasts until March 21st for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere #-o . . . but I know it may feel longer than that in some areas (it certainly did for us last year)! (OOOO)

Here's hoping we don't have to utilize our snow shovels/plows this winter season. [-o< Liquid sunshine, anyone?!? <<^^^>>

So all that snow that we had here in northern Wisconsin is pretty much gone now. We had rain (imagine that, rain in December????) that melted most of it. That ruined the snowmobile trails, getting out on the lakes to go fishing is nearly impossible, so there's not much else to do but drink. Fortunately we're good at that up here.
On the other hand, it will make it a lot easier to get firewood into the basement, without the snow.
