Well done Diane!

Did you buy any girls-only items in your shop? I know I would have :)

I looked at the clothes but there was nothing I really liked so I just got some more nail polish to go with the dozens I already have and some waxing strips. Couldn't resist it! :)

Way to go, Diane! :P I'm glad you made the decision to go on through with it when you saw all the cars. Oh, I'm sure you would have worked up to it another time, but you worked so hard this time!

Going in without a wig is a mixed bag. If I don't dress quite femme enough, it sometimes confuses people as to who I'm trying to be. You had on a full femme outfit though, so people knew you expected to be treated as a woman.

When I'm out, I want be treated with respect, first, and ideally treated as a woman, second. I don't have to pass in order to have those two things happen. It sounds as though you had both things going, to some extent.

I note that you felt like a supermarket was a comfortable place for one of your first outings. I felt that way, too. Even though there can be many people, it felt easier than going shopping at a department store, say.

Good luck on the next outing!

I don't know why I didn't think of this before! #-o

When I visited the supermarket I should have taken a girl friend (I have one who is quite supportive) and got her to take a couple of pictures of me "coming out". I really wish I'd had the idea sooner then I would have a record for myself and also to share with everyone else. Damn!

Perhaps I should go through it all again and get some photographs or perhaps I should do something different for my next outing. I really want to do something else now that I've started.
