Some mens clothes are actually getting more comfortable, using softer fabrics and so on which I really like.
This GG has to comment here, because I agree with Andrea. Living here in Florida, for example, you find a lot of shirts with the tropical motif, for both men and women. I prefer to buy the men's because they are generally made of the softer fabric, like Andrea mentioned,
and they are also better-made (i.e., guys usually put more stress on the seams, doing 'guy' stuff, so the men's shirts are sewn better). Almost all men's shirts are machine washable - a huge plus in my book. In addition, as the shirts are generally longer than womens, when they are worn open they can 'dress up' a cami, tank top, or a knit top, providing more wardrobe options; they can also be worn tied at the waist over any of these other tops.
The women's shirts/blouses of a tropical motif are almost always 'dry clean only' - and I refuse to buy them.

.. why dont they (clothes manufactures etc.) just get rid of the male attire all-together??
If they did that, Pauline - I'd be tempted to shoot them! I love my men's shirts for the reasons stated above. I even put up with that dreaded 'breast pocket' on the men's shirts, but most of my tropical shirts do not have that pocket.
That's this GG's 2c worth!
